Attention Citizens: if you’re a Star Citizen subscriber, we have the first portion of your exclusive content online! Please head to this site to check out the first selections from The Vault which include, among other things, two dozen of Ryan Church’s Constellation renders which show how it went from an initial concept to the ship you know today! You’ll be very surprised at how different the first Constellations are compared to the design you’ll be flying in Star Citizen and we hope it will give you some appreciation for the weeks of work that go into perfecting any single ship design. There’s also a set of character art showing UEE offices and marines… and even a pair of videos answering one of the community’s hottest questions: how the Constellation stores and unloads both the snub fighter and its cargo! For everyone else, here’s a sneak peak:

In other news, our earliest supporters will be pleased to know that a bug with the Golden Ticket system has been repaired… your ticket should now appear correctly in your account!

Cool!
CIG: I love you guys.
SWEETNESS!
Thank you!
Neat.
Btw. never had problems w/ the golden ticket but it’s good to know it’s been fixed! You’re doing great^^
My subscriber page does not take me to the latest edition of The Vault.
Ignore, works now!
Mine isnt working, how did you fix the issue?
Lol, never mind was hitting the wrong link >.>
the second video (Snub and cargo unloading – Interior View) dosn’t work.
The Freelancer graphics don’t work either (large-size versions of them)
Great work on my way !
that is a pretty good question, how would you launch the snub fighter if your cargo hold is full (assuming cargo does indeed just pile on top of that snub fighter dock cover)?
From what i gathered, the cargo stays on the top plate and the snub drops out from underneath it.
yeah, but if the cargo hold is totally full, you can’t get into the snub fighter. maybe there’s an access hatch in that drop-down floor?? it’s a weird design regardless…
Yer there’s a hole where the cockpit of the snup pops through.
Awesome
Video’s are cool. Figured it would be something like that. Thanks RSI!
Keep up the great work.
None of the videos work for me
“The video cannot be found. It may have been removed from the server.

I’m getting the same issue. I’ll content myself with ogling the preview images for now, but don’t let us languish too long, please!
This does not work if we have a valid subscription but didn’t (yet) upgrade it to a recurring fee.
My subscription is valid until the end of January, so it would be nice if I could also access that new content.
I will upgrade to a recurring fee at the end of that validity period.
I already paid a month where no content was published, I won’t pay twice for this month on top of it.
Same boat. Paid for a month of exclusive content and never received any. Now that there’s content I have to renew.
I agree here. I would have expected to be able to check out what you really get when becoming a subscriber. No the first content is online, I have paid the first USD 10,- and get … an information to renew the subscription. Sorry to say this … but … are you guys kidding?
Hey guys, we’re looking into this for you!
weird, i have a golden ticket, but i guess i’m not a subscriber, as i see no additional content?!
It’s for subscribers only, so yes that’s why.
I read a boring thread about golden tickets.
I think you get a ship skin out of it. Congrats.
Most of the earliest to support and donate money didn’t really expect updates and info would be given out in such a tiered system as it is now.
Nice! Thanks!
I love the Marine suit it looks really good It looks really functional I hope we get to wear it too when we hit ground missions nice work. I would say it looks like Mass Effect but it doesn’t it looks more like what are Marines wear now except really high tech I like….:) keep up the good work
Kinda new here, and catching up. (but come one, I played Wing Commander 1 on floppy disks). What is a subscription for?
Exactly for what you see here.
Subscribers get to see some information (, artworks, renders and so on) earlier than “normal” backers, some even exclusively.
Iirc (unfortunately I am unable to find where to subscribe just now), there are two different subscriber-options, of which one costs more than the other (10 / 20 $ each month… …somewhere around that).
Sorry for incomplete response. Just saw your unanswered comment.
You can subscribe here.

Cool peeks
Leaves me wishing for more spare cash…
…just gonna have to work harder somehow I guess ^^
So THAT’S how cargo gets on and off the Constellation.
Excellent, time to enjoy my images, and put them all into my cycling RSI desktop backgrounds.
Holy crap, the two video’s are epic!
That Marine sketch…
Is this confirmation of Infantry Combat?
Cause’ that’s awesome.
You guys are the best! Thanks for the sneak peak; I can officially not wait for this game to come out!
what all do you get with a golden ticket?
I also like to know this as well. I pledged back in Nov. Am I qualified?
Golden Ticket Holders are those People that signed in before 10/10/2012
they´ll get a special Decal for the Ships ingame thats all.
Cheers
none of the videos work for me
That “old” stella might make for a good start for an Aurora… Which is sorta suppoed to be like a Y-Wing, righT?
OK, I’m an idiot (or it’s late, but likely the former). I’ve looked and looked but I can’t even figure out how to become a subscriber. I payed $125 for the upgraded starfighter in October, but have no clue about how to get a subscription or how much that costs per month. Maybe I’m a bit slow [:)], but I’m not seeing that subscribing is a very intuitive process. Can anyone help out? Thanks!
Just for your consolidation: I am unable to find where to subscribe just now either.
*as well..
Great thing when you start one sentence and end another.
Just look here:
http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/
There you’ll find the subsriptions in the drop-down box on the right side.
Maybe you looked under add-ons before? There it is not listed because its not threated as add-on.
I clicked on “head to this site” above to enter the vault and it just takes me to the home screen.
I’ll see if anyone has a good idea, and if not I’ll just contact billing.
go to the main page on RSI, click on Learn more. it should take you to the Star Citizen website, you should have an option on the min page to subscribe.
And what will we, regular backers who bought a share in a product before it has even been created received I wonder? This was the fricking requisite for most of our purchase anyhow, and now all updates seem to be about “subscriber” status members, then what the heck are we?
You get early access to Alpha and Beta with your pledge ship, just as promised. If you want more, stop whining and pony up with the moolah!
We’ll receive exactly what we pledged for. Also, there will still be regular updates that are available to everyone.
How many times does this have to be hammered home: THE EXCLUSIVE STUFF SUBSCRIBERS ARE GETTING ARE THINGS THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUT TOGETHER AND PRESENTED IF NOT FOR THE ADDITIONAL REVENUE PROVIDED BY THE SUBSCRIPTIONS.
Everyone will know everything that’s presented to subscribers in short order, anyway. It’s not like they’ve signed an NDA and aren’t allowed to talk about it.
Well so far I’ve hardly seen anything from them other than an episode of wingman’s hangar… I expected content updates to a much higher extent, and that is not really that hard to do… I don’t want to subscribe twice for the same stuff, and I really hope they aren’t taking that thing too far, which I am currently dreading they are.
Just in case you missed it the first time.
THE EXCLUSIVE STUFF SUBSCRIBERS ARE GETTING ARE THINGS THAT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUT TOGETHER AND PRESENTED IF NOT FOR THE ADDITIONAL REVENUE PROVIDED BY THE SUBSCRIPTIONS.
Plus…. What he said! ^^^^^^^^^
I don’t know where you get that from though, I mean how ward is it to take a couple of screen shots of your work? I mean, are you aware of the standard procedure of stock listed companies? This should be basically the same to some extent…
Okay look, this game is being made on a very tiny budget compared to the visions behond it. Usually, games like this would cost upwards to 30 million dollars to make, CIG does it for half that price. That’s what subscriptions is all about; we give a tiny ($10 or $20) donation each month so CIG can hire a few more artists and coders so the game will be even more fleshed out and detailed at release. In return, we get exclusive access to concept arts and renders. If that isn’t worth ten measily bucks per month to you, you got only yourself to thank for missing out.
So stop whining and other join us or don’t. You will still get development updates either way; you just won’t get the extras us subscripers get. Your choice.
Oh, and by the way; we are not shareholdes and we don’t own any stocks in this product.
They have atleast an additional ten million in private investors. I heard that was raised to twenty million when we put all this crazy money in, but I can’t confirm that.
So, the game’s actual budget is somewhere between 17 and 27 million. Most likely 27 million, but definitely 17.
No comment on the rest of what you said, just the “Usually, games like this would cost upwards to 30 million dollars to make” caught my eye. We have about that much.
*definitely at least 17 million
Bleh. Almost wish comments had an edit function. Almost.
So how long will it take to see eventually see the exlusive development screenshots of ships, concept animations or things like concept sketches in the jump point pdf beyond teasers?
It is a tad depressing that people who did sink a lot of money into the game just to get it off the ground are getting called “entitled whiners” by fellow fans for being a little critical over being asked to give more just to see screenshots and renderings.
So far, subscribers have not gotten anything non-subscriber backers won’t also get; we just get to see a few more of the early steps between working versions of concepts. Really though, this isn’t so much about what we get; it’s about giving a bit more to support this project on a monthly basis. You know; “ask not what the game can do for you – ask what you can do for the game”.
Besides, everyone gets what they paid for; you want more, you pay more. That’s kinda fair, isn’t it?
That’s what I’m getting at; I already did something for the game. Being a day-one pledger before the game was even a go isn’t enough? At the time, there was no subscriber announcement, I just thought everyone would chip-in, we get a few peeks of the content and enjoy some of the goodies they gave in thanks. And it’s not like I don’t know all the fuss is over some screens, which is my point, they’re only pics.
Though in the end, it doesn’t really matter, and I can deal with it.
The power of envy is high in this one…
Thx a lot guys, i really enjoy this way of spreading inside-information!
And thanks for activating the paypal-europe-option! Now i can make further subscriptions and support your project with some more bugs
Full year subscription is $120 and $240… hmmm… seems a bit harsh as that’s exactly the monthly amount X 12. Economics 101 would dictate that money now is worth more than money later, and CIG is getting it in a lump sum in a single go, surely they should discount it slightly (as is the case with most yearly paid up subscriptions) to something like $110 and $220?
Oh and for all the people that initially subscribed but have gone a full month without any “compensation”, really deserve something extra (I didn’t subscribe, but I feel for those who did), like maybe some free credits or at least to have the $10 / $20 credited to their CIG account for the purchase of future ships etc.
Basically, through subscription, we are paying for extra personell; those require monthly paychecks; hence the monthly subscription price. This isn’t really a magazine or anything; that’s just the bonus we get. Personally, I think $10 a month is reasonable. I personally went with $20, and would gladly give more, but that’s me.
Oh, sorry about that; I see what you mean now. I did not see the updated listing on the Star Citizen page, and thought you meant that 10 or 20 per month was too much; you meant the one full sum of a total annual subscription paid upright, right? In that case… I kinda agree, but still; that just an option for those who don’t want to budget an extra $10/20 per month and would rather pay the full price right away.
I apologize for my confusion, my mistake.
Yeah, that’s what I meant, no worries. My concern is more for the guys that paid for that first month and didn’t receive anything. I get the premise that it’s not supposed to be compensatory and that we’re pledging to back the project first and foremost… it’s just the principle of the matter. Something was promised that simply wasn’t delivered in that first month. Unless I’ve missed some important update recently about first month subscription pledgers getting something as compensation?
Nice work on those marines CIG! Even though the helmet should look a little more bad-ass/disguised :p
Hoping we get to see atleast one or some of the videos over-time for us, “normal” backers. Actually I am hoping once they put the wall up, the rest of the backer-community will see the stuff from the jump points (screens, videos, art,..) but without the texts and “paper” that is Jump-Point. Like 1-2 weeks after.
I registered 10/12/2012 shit, 2 days….
I can´t make an Subscriber because paypal want an Creditcard…. (Germany).
I think you can link your bank account with PayPal; at least I made myself a dedicated “web-payments” account with my bank and linked that with my PayPal profile. Don’t have to use my credit card at all. That was a while ago though, so I don’t remember how it was done, but I think you can check your PayPal account page for more information on how you can do it.
I like the marine design
I’m impressed with the cargo and snub fighter system. The videos make understanding the setup a whole lot easier.
I love seeing these concepts! Great work RSI! I’m glad I signed up!
Looks nice, especially the highly detailed and polished marine outfit designs. The RSI Stella’s fighter/cargo bay hangar access mechanics seems strange; how does the cargo go in and out with the fighter at bottom? I’m sure you’ll quickly spot the issue and figure it out, because taking the fighter out every time I land at some trading hub will be a time consuming chore.
Hmm
Ive bought the 35$ scout pack in Novemeber, so Im a subscriber ? or not ?
I cant find the exclusive stuff here ?!!!
No, you are not a subscriber. (Subscription is a monthly payment. Which is not required to buy or play the game.)
You can help CIG with money either by paying for ships/skins/etc. or by paying a monthly subscription (or both). It is up to you how you want to help and what you want in return for helping.
The videon dont work for me
Error:

Any idea??
Same for me
Still the same here—
Download an mp4 player… google will show a free one. right-click on the empty area where the vid should be and save to harddrive. Play it with newly downloaded mp4 player.
Im sure there’s a better way, but it works
That link just takes me back to the Star citizen page
Guys, I think some of us are getting a bit ahead of ourselves. When we had initially pledged, we had done so to lift this project off the ground. We were clearly informed of what to accept in return as in Alpha and Beta access, the finished game and as the millions started adding up we had unlocked additional perks that new purchasers won’t have like extra credits, skins, ect. Apart from that don’t you feel this sense of well being knowing that this game is going to be made?? After a while Chris did mention that there will be a subscription of this type however he had also said that all the info provided in the subscriptions will trickle down to the rest of us after some week or so. Therefore we wouldn’t be missing out on important information apart from the odd sketch and vid here and there. What really mattes is the final ships’ designs which we will all get to see. If I am not mistaken we will still be getting the usual updates and selected pictures and gameplay vids as we get along. All in all I will not be sinking an additional 10 dollars a month as I will be saving these (and some more) for upcoming hardware to utilize within the game like the Oculus rift, a proper game controller, a professional headset and most of all I already purchased and additional 2 copies of the game and gifted them to my son and nephew.this I would personally recommend. To gift this game to other people as well, It’s a fantastic feeling of knowing that you would be playing the game together with people you actually care about.
I don’t like that the offer to subscribe came after the pledging was finished. That’s when they decided they would give the subscribers more. Like it was an after thought, the material the subscribers are getting is the stuff we are supposed to be shown. It feels like a segregation, as if we’re getting the crumbs thrown down to us after the all mighty subscribers have gotten their look, and eventually we will be allowed to see some of those same things.
That’s the way it makes me feel.
The subscription thing was originally put into place so those who couldn’t afford to pledge, could pledge. Cool; but, why did they have to create incentive to draw people to the subscriptions? The goal was already reached.
It makes me feel like there is someone above me, even though we as pledgers, should be on a level field.
My 2cents.
Damn, I´ve got no credit card
oh well it’s only money, I had to see the concept stuff and the Stella/Connie, vids. Love the Marine outfit.
Oh and thanks for the Bengal interior rear art the other day too.
Just a little info about the subscriptions:
In our collective fit of enthusiasm, we had asked for a way to support Star Citizen even after the crowdfunding campaign, with some small monthly payment. As far as I remember, we had not asked for anything in return, just for a way to support the game some more. We were then given the chance to “subscribe”, with the extra money being used to get us some more eye-candy, such as a decal, some exclusive content updates, plus the Imperator subscribers get the 3 answers per year by Chris Roberts and a visit to the company’s HQ and such.
There would have been no Jump Point monthly magazine or any exclusive content updates and such without us asking for the subscriptions in the first place, because anything extra for us costs extra money, even some person’s time spent on typing and formating updates for us. Do not forget that, fellows.
To all the cry for the exclusive content of the subscripers. You see me crying, i pay $125 and have only the Freelancer and another pay $250 for the Contellation. Damned, why i dont become the Constellation…
If I had paid $1000 for the Idris Corvette, I’d be crying!
I thought no monthly subscription would be required as originally stated and now it is?!? What double talk.
Please read about subscription on this page:
http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/unlock-caterpillar-new-items-and-subscriptions/
Hint: It is not what you think it is.
lol,it’s not required! you are able to pay a subscription to see more of the development process, you will always see something anyway, and believe it or not, more than the majority of others project allows you to see.
subscription is just for to support more the developers….no one is forced to do it.
I’m reminded of why I don’t read comments anymore. The lack of mental capacity is astounding.
Awesome! Nicely done cargo/light fighter launch with integrated bay door!
(Strangely the video cant stream to my browser, but able to download with FDM.)
Yah, if you download a free mp4 player, it will be able to play the file for you.
I hope CIG able to check the video cannot stream (DivX Plus Web Player) due to following error:-
“The video cannot be found. It may have removed from the server. HTTP 404″
Thanks and regards…
Yep… videos are still not working for me
Browser:
- Google Chrome plays the videos.
- Firefox plays the videos.
- Opera only plays the not existing sound. No video.
- Internet Explorer does not play the videos.
… and MediaPlayerlite is free and will play it if you download the file by rightclicking area where vid should be and saving to harddrive.
The marine looks amazing!
Oh my I am SO THERE!
do we get to see those video’s too? I find this subscriber thing a bit rude towards other pledgers
I’m sure you will get to see better videos when the ships are textured, fully animated and more final than these early and rather ugly render videos that are not meant to be shown publicly. (I’m not saying that they are not interesting for some people… but it is really early stuff.)
None of the Freelancer pictures with the address format http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/?attachment_id=XXXXXX work for me
Otherwise great stuff.
To you who aren’t subscribers, don’t get your panties in a wad, these are not earth shattering reveals and as far as I’ve understood it he content will all be released to you as well, just a little later.
The pics under the Freelancer gallery will not load (page not found error)
One more thing. people, don’t forget that on the RSI’s Home page there are three tabs which are locked for the time being. Namely they are “Engineering”, “Holo-Viewer” and “Galactapeida”. Engineering will let us see insights form rsi’s engineering staff on their development progress (i quote this from rsi’s own description) and is quite self explanatory. Holo-viewer: “attend a screening of the newest space epic” again I quote from the official description which I think it means that when this tab is accessible it will allow us to watch videos of gameplay, progress on AI, other forms of media the devs what to show us as the game develops. And lastly is another self explanatory tab: Galactapedia: Quote: a star travelers best friend (imagine a very high tech universe map which would include augmented reality type of pop up info as you scroll over systems, planets, belts and the rest. therefore for those of us that haven’t subscribed for the monthly do pls don’t feel left out as Chris had made it clear that we will still get all the info we need to know. The subscribers will only get a little bit more of what’s happening behind the scenes and early staff. if there is anybody out there who thinks this comment makes sense or no sense then please do agree or disagree / add comments to this as we have to remember that the devs scans these forums for such comments. Remember that we are forming this game and that we had agreed with Chris’s core concept of the game
…most of the freelancer image links are broken, as are the final two personnel images…
Very cool stuff! Thank you!
But guys, you should really think of some kind of CONVINIENT GALLERY implementation…
We are living in 2013 and ‘open-close-open another’ picture viewing sequence is obsolete for a looong time..
Please consider!
Hi people, i have a “Digital Scout” pledge made via kickstarter when the crowdfunding was open, how can i do to view the vault?
Apparently the Vault is for “subscribers” only.
I just spent a long while trying to get to Vault and then I noticed the content is intended for “subscribers”. Could you please alter future newsletters in a way that hides subscriber news for not subscribed people (And other stuff not relevant/applicable to my subscription). Thank you.
Newly minted Imperator. Doubt i’ll ever be able to get to Texas but still happy to subscribe. Looking forward to all the future content.
Not whining (too much), but I feel like an orphan out here! Pledged early, but am a full-time (aerospace engineering, woot) university student on a budget.
I *can* afford $10/month subscription if I increase my Ramen intake for dinner. Is it worth it? Cause I am actively restraining myself from subscribing right now!
Derp. Saw the free preview issue. I’m good.
