Orphaned as a child, Johnny drifted to system to system stealing anything he could to survive. As moving to closer to the sol system he came into a prestigious church in Vega system where he stayed. He spent a good number of years while in the church working as a small range cargo mover and supply delivery. On the side, he would steal supplies from other corps that would never make use of what ever resources that others in the church or elsewhere needed. As returning from a delivery, he came home to Vega 2 to find a Vanduul capital ship in orbit. In his little cargo ship he barely made his way back into orbit while being attacked. Being critically damaged he was able to shoot down a vanduul fighter, then crash landed. Barely surviving this, a small group of survivors pulled him from the wreckage to safety until the UEE came. Taking notice of his situation and achievement of destroying a military grade fighter in a Aurora, a captain talked him into joining the UEE as a pilot with his recommendation.
