Kari Grandi, known across the spacelanes by the callsign “Kharpo,” was born in the Finnish territories of old Earth and raised in the New Oulu arcology district. Growing up among cargo crews and orbital freight pilots, he learned early that survival depended on those willing to carry supplies through dangerous systems.

At nineteen, Kharpo joined the UEE Navy during renewed Vanduul conflicts, serving as both combat and transport pilot. He earned a reputation for remaining calm under fire and became known after leading multiple extraction runs during the Siege of Orion Reach, rescuing stranded Marines and civilians despite catastrophic ship damage.

After twelve years of service, he left the Navy and purchased a heavily modified civilian freighter. Now operating between Stanton, Terra, Magnus, and Pyro, Kharpo hauls high-risk cargo few others will touch. Rumors describe him as a ghost pilot appearing from quantum storms exactly when people need help most.
