Born in Area18, Theopolis Thistler learned to sieve valuable minerals from ArcCorp's industrial waste as a child, surviving by finding tiny thistles of precious ores in mountains of slag. ArcCorp later accepted him into the Order of the Diamond Hand after mining enough thousand-grade diamonds to forge the fusion lattice for an Idris-class frigate. This elevated him to near mythical status among Area18's lower classes and inspired a tongue-twister in his name.
Today, he pilots an ARGO MOLE christened "Thistler's Maw" into the Aaron Halo's most forbidding bands - where the rock is dense, the pirates run thick and only fools or the Diamond-Touched dare tread.
