Born in 2920 on Vega II, Valkaras Atlas grew up staring at the stars and chasing purpose. He joined the UEE Navy young, serving as a Hammerhead gunner known for precision and calm under fire. During the Attack on Vega II, he fought to defend his homeworld until the skies burned — and when the smoke cleared, his faith in the UEE was gone. Disillusioned, he walked away, carving a new life under an alias as a merc-for-hire drifting through Stanton. The jobs paid enough to keep him grounded in a modest New Babbage apartment, but the solitude wore thin. Seeking camaraderie and meaning beyond credits, Atlas found his place among the Night Rats.
