We threw out the rulebook to redefine private-use Capital-class ships, Attack Carriers, and the very nature of personal freedom. With comfortable habs for a full crew, mammoth cargo capacity, and enough armament to blow even the most daunting frigate out of the sky, this self-sustaining flying fortress is the most ambitious project Drake has ever undertaken, and a testament to the empowerment of the people.

Our designers tapped into the same intensive consumer outreach practices that conceived the Vulture and pulled forth the unyielding spirit of protection. The Kraken is the result.

We got to the heart of what the hardworking folks of the UEE want from a capital ship. Inspired by these people, the Kraken’s adaptability mirrors the diversity of the Empire.

It's also a literal titan of industry. The the ideal base of operations for a fleet of data-running Heralds or a mobile warehouse to load up a trusty Cutlass. Whatever your business, the Kraken is a functional, comfortable, and secure base of operations.

Turrets

Five manned and four remote turrets, positioned at strategic vantage points around the ship, provide the firepower to blow even the most daunting frigate out of the sky.

Bridge

Command your flying fortress in comfort and with confidence from a state-of-the-art bridge that redefines what it means to captain a Capital class vessel.

Landing Platforms

Six versatile landing pads support a varied fleet - four pads suit smaller fighters, while the two upper platforms accommodate medium-sized ships.

Internal Hangar

A spacious multi-purpose hangar can keep your org topped off with fuel and supplies, spring serious firepower on unsuspecting interlopers, and accommodate a variety of vessels - if it fits, it sits.

Cargo Bay

Whatever your fleet or cargo needs, a massive main hold has you covered. With a combined capacity of 3792 SCU, the Kraken can adapt to nearly any mission, industrial concern, or business venture.

Engineering

Easy access to the ship's engineering platform lets your crew effortlessly keep the engines stoked and your flying fortress going strong.

Dragonfly Bay

The rear of the ship consists of a vast cargo hold and a bay designed as a one-stop shop for Dragonflies, or other small vehicles, capable of rapid, dynamic deployment.

ABOUT THE SHIP CONCEPT PLEDGE

The Kraken is being offered for the first time as a limited ship concept pledge. This means that the ship design meets our specifications, but it is not yet ready to display in your Hangar or to fly in Star Citizen. The Warbond pledges shown here include Lifetime Insurance on the ship hull. In the future, the ship price may increase and Lifetime Insurance or any extras may not be available. If you are interested in adding one to your fleet, a limited quantity of Kraken hulls are available during this event. Remember: we offer pledge ships to help fund Star Citizen’s development. The funding received from events such as these are what allow us to include deeper features in the Star Citizen world. Concept ships will be obtainable in the final universe, and they are not required to start the game.

Additionally, please note that the Kraken will be entering the ship pipeline now and may be released after other concept ships have been completed. The goal is to make additional ships available to continue expanding the depth and variety of the game world and give players a different experience rather than any particular advantage.
