Let me start with this. I was born and raised on Aremis, and I served my time in the Vega campaign, running strike ops along the frontier, pushing those damn things back to defend my home and the Empire. At that time, it felt right.
That changed when those bastards pulled back and left those people behind. Command called it strategy. A few of us called it what it was, bullshit.
When my service ended, I didn’t re-up. I’d had my fill of politics posing as leadership. Instead, I wanted... no, I needed to help others, so I went freelance, taking security details and evacuation jobs. I did whatever kept the lights on, in the places farthest from that light.
Over time I became we. Civvies, locals, a few from my old unit. You know the kind of people who still believe in doing the job right, even when it’s messy. Once we stopped pretending it was temporary, Arcfall was born.
