History
42DUN is a partnership between UEE citizens Lotus and Miranda, who met in 2945 while stuck on ArcCorp during an extended “no flight” blackout. The many long days stuck in ship hangers and Area 18 resulted in, at a minimum, the foundation of a business partnership. The basis of the relationship was the love of the unknown verse, resulting in many long days overlooking the polluted urban canyons of ArcCorp dreaming about deep space. Eventually dreams took form and opportunity arose. With the extended blackout less fortunate pilots were unable to afford their hanger fees and ship maintenance costs forcing them to sell. Lotus and Miranda took the opportunity to purchase a constellation aquilla, which was later traded in for a rare LTI Carrack, acquired from the now defrauded explorer Tat Ma. They named the Carrack after “Trunk Road 42”, off of which Lotus parents farmed on Aremis, and the upscale Terra Prime suburb of Dun Portia where Miranda was born.
With only two founding members 42DUN is woefully under staffed. As it stands Lotus and Miranda are recruiting quality technicians to attend to the various stations on the ship. They intend to avoid contracting personnel for their first mission opting to use in house personnel instead. They are currently recruiting specialists and are in the process of acquiring necessary supplementary ships and supplies with the intent of their first expedition in 2946/47 (2016/17). Wile still in the planning stages of the mission they know that they will need technicians proficient in the following areas:
- Pilots
- Turret operators
- Small arms specialists
- Repair specialists
- Scanning specialist
- Medical specialists
- Broadcasting

Manifesto
42DUN exists to indulge every sentient beings urge to explore the unknown. Our intention is to use the best equipment, have the best personel, fully research, purchase the best information, and to carefully plan our expeditions to enable more discoveries, push out further and to make a name for our organization and our members. Our intention is to keep our fleet small but well equipped, well informed and well manned. Our first mission will be with our Carrack, hopefully crewed with our our members. Our missions will be scheduled once or twice a week in the evening, starting at 8:30pm CST. We may broadcast our adventures across the verse to anyone who will watch.
Charter
We are specifically looking for support personal for our exploration expeditions. We will be traveling extensively in the UEE so we cannot accept anyone with UEE troubles. We are not interested in loosing our specialists at random UEE check stops (i.e. clean records, please). Strong reputations in fields related to exploration and security will be an asset.
Our personal must be open minded to other human and alien views on, spirituality, sexual orientation, political views etc. Xenophobia, homophobia, religious intolerance etc. will not be accepted and will result in ejection from 42DUN.
At the outset we will have two executive officers who will be responsible for the missions and will provide direction to our specialists. In the future we may promote our specialists to associates, and ultimately executive officers. A policy on the dividing of profits is in development and will be clarified before the launch of our first expedition.
