From quiet trade runs to full-on ops, we keep it fun, focused, and friendly. Come as you are, fly how you like, and let’s see what’s out there.
The name “5×5” started as old comms jargon — loud and clear. Somewhere between a cargo run through Nyx and a dusty landing on Daymar, it became something more: a signal between pilots who knew how to fly smart, stick together, and enjoy the ride.
5×5 began with a handful of independent players who wanted something simple — good crew, good comms, and the freedom to explore the ‘verse. What started as casual ops between friends grew into a shared mindset: maturity, respect, and a focus on enjoying everything Star Citizen has to offer.
It’s the adventures of a smuggler and his loyal co-pilot flying a freighter that may not look like much but has it where it counts. It’s a defeated Browncoat finding freedom, friendship, and family in the black. It’s a lone Spectre gathering a ragtag team to stand against humanity’s extinction at the hands of a relentless biomechanical horde. It’s a crew of ice miners who become unlikely heroes aboard a stolen Martian warship. It’s an ace pilot sling-shotting out of the launch tubes of the last surviving warship of the colonial fleet, and a daredevil stunt flyer turned fighter jockey, defending a rebuilt alien battle fortress and the love he finds aboard. It’s the legacy of a legendary starship crew boldly exploring strange new worlds.
The call to adventure among the stars is in all of us—and we want to make our mark and tell our stories in the boundless frontier.
5×5 is a crew of independent starfarers drawn together by the endless scale, boundless variety, and shared camaraderie of Star Citizen.
Whether flying solo, side by side, or alongside our trusted allies, we seek to experience everything the ’verse has to offer — guided by a spirit of adventure, respect, and maturity that defines who we are.
Play your way: Whether you’re exploring, hauling, mining, fighting, or just hanging out — we enjoy all playstyles.
We are a force for good: We face challenges as a team and help others when we can.
Respect for others: We don’t grief or disrupt the game for others. We show respect inside and outside the crew — including people’s time, gear, and efforts.
Real-life balance: Most of us have families, jobs, and other interests. Participation is appreciated, never required.
Open membership: We have friends everywhere.
Positive atmosphere: We keep things friendly, grounded, and fun.

Purpose
5×5 is intended to be a tight-knit crew of players who enjoy Star Citizen’s vast universe, expansive gameplay, and the friendships that come with it. While we strive to be a self-sufficient, freelancing team, we also value and seek out like-minded partners to take on the biggest challenges the ’verse has to offer.
Our goal is to build a capable, cooperative crew where members can explore, achieve, and have fun — whether flying solo or together.
Code of Conduct
Respect:
Treat all players with kindness and consideration. Griefing, ganking, or harassment is not the 5×5 way.
Flexibility:
Support every member’s freedom to play their way — with the ships, roles, and gameplay loops they enjoy.
Crew Spirit:
Foster a collaborative and respectful atmosphere. We each bring our own outlooks and perspectives, but we don’t force conversations, opinions, or impose our personal ideas of fun on others.
Optimism & Humility:
Star Citizen is a work in progress. Stay positive, approach frustration with patience, and find enjoyment in both the game and one another.
Organization Structure
Star Citizen is not a job — it’s an outlet for fun and camaraderie. We operate with a loose structure where everyone has a voice in decision-making. Leadership roles exist to help coordinate and to the support the fun of the crew.
Commitment
Participation is always voluntary. Real-life commitments are paramount, and we respect the many demands on each other’s time. While no one is required to join our organized activities, when you do commit, we trust you to be prepared and reliable. Respecting each other’s time and effort keeps our crew strong and the experience enjoyable for everyone.
