Manifesto

AESIR is a Private Military Company RP organization created by friends who enjoyed an adult environment, have a shared interest and experience with the military and a love of roleplay gaming. We enjoy creating a place where we can get together and put ourselves in the worlds in which we play.

Based on military rank and protocol, AESIR is being built with the idea that we are a Mil-Sim combat and exploration organization within the Star Citizen universe, based heavily upon the real world United States Navy, although we also take inspiration from many other sources. While we aim to have presence in multiple games, SC will be our primary.
We envision a group that can plan and engage in events not only internally but also externally with other groups.

At this time AESIR is comprised of four main branches, three of which are open to everyone. Each branch is responsible for a specific set of tasks or roles within the organization during RP operations, although RP and flying with your fellows regularly outside ops is encouraged.

Our main branch is Battle Fleet (BATFLT), composed of all officers who wish to crew or command starships. The responsibilities of Battle Fleet officers are to man and maintain all mission critical systems and stations aboard whichever vessel they are “assigned” to. As needed, or available, ships will be added to the official AESIR registry, making them official vessels of the Fleet. The vessels chosen will be based on Org needs, the seniority or availability of the owner and available crew members. These ships will then, based on their purpose and crew needs, have officers assigned to man them during operations. We will endeavor to keep friends with friends, but there is a certain level of “needs of the many” that must be allowed for. Once a vessel is crewed it is assigned to a Battle Group, a formation of multiple ships, typically of the same type, that operate together under the command of a Commodore. Support vessels are organized into Task Groups.

The second branch is the Astrogation Command (ASTROCOM), made up of all officers who wish to pilot fighters, attack fighters, bombers or drop ships. Known as Naval Astrogators, they are organized into Squadrons of 6, led by a Commander, and Strike Groups comprised of 2 Squadrons, led by a Captain. The Astrogation Command is responsible for maintaining a Combat Space Patrol (CSP) around AESIR Battle Groups, engaging in interception or anti-shipping strikes and air support for ground based units. Performance expectations are high for Naval Astrogators, as their mission profiles are typically quite dangerous. Squadrons and Strike Groups will be expected to fly together and practice regularly.

The third, and last open branch is the Boarding Operations and Support Squadron (BOSS), the AESIR equivalent of the old Earth United States Navy SEALS. Their responsibilities include providing fleet security, engaging in boarding actions, ground assault and extra vehicular activities (EVA). BOSS Operators are organized into Platoons of 6, led by a Commander, and BOSS Teams comprised of two Platoons, led by a Captain. BOSS units are encouraged to team up with Naval Astrogators whenever possible to keep up on and develop new strategies for joint operations.

AESIR’s fourth branch is the secretive Office of Naval Intelligence. Very little information is given out in regards to ONI, other than that their primary missions are intelligence gathering and dissemination, diplomacy, operational planning and sensitive information security. ONI does not accept applications, instead relying on recruitment of other branch members, under the shroud of secrecy, to meet their ends. While some of these recruits may well end up taking a permanent position with ONI if they choose, it is entirely dependent upon the Director’s discretion.

It should be understood that we are new, small and still in the process of constructing the infrastructure and plans needed to make AESIR what we dream it can be. Please be patient, and only apply if you are willing to work with that or are interested in assisting by becoming a contributing staff officer. We are seeking additional members to fill positions of responsibility, but you’ll have to bear with us if we are hesitant about new people moving into these spots. Anyone can move up in AESIR, but we need to know you and trust you. SC is going to be a big, dark place. If you are still interested in joining AESIR knowing that, we encourage you to drop an application, including which branch you wish to join and if you’d like to assist in the building process in some way, or contact one of our members for more information.

Charter

These rules and regulations are to be followed by all members of Aesir regardless of rank or position. All officers are expected to uphold these rules and regulations and are empowered to punish any members who are found to have broken any of them with one verbal and two written warnings. After the receipt of a second written warning, any further transgressions will be brought to command staff for overview and likely dismissal of the offender.

*1. Respect everyone, regardless. There are zero reasons to ever discriminate, demean or otherwise cause harm to any other member of the gaming community.
*2. Respect your command and senior officers. If you are reasonably asked to do or stop doing something, please do so.
*3. Officers, respect your subordinates. This is a game, do not let the ‘authority’ go to your head.
*4. Do not cheat or exploit game mechanics. No exceptions. Exploits and cheats are grounds for immediate dismissal.
*5. Provide assistance to those who need it when you can. No one gets anywhere alone, we all need help sometimes. Make the difference for someone.
*6. We all have lives outside of this game. We must respect that others have events transpire in their lives that can affect them and the way they play the game. Everyone needs to work together to make this a place we can all go to and have a good time.
