We are a small group of people whose main focus is on mining, transportation and exploration.

History

History is still being written. Feel free to look trough the Manifesto and Charter, as it gives a picture about what Æsir Corp has to offer.

Manifesto

BE ADVISED: This page is still under heavy development, and the contents will change drasticly over the coming months. The phases and goals are what we predict will be final, but as this game is still in development things will change. This is solely so you can see what direction we want this corporation to take :)

Corporate phases

Æsir Corp will be built from the ground up by it’s members, and go trough several phases to achieve the end goal of the corporation. These phases are suggestions to quickly and efficiently build funds and start networking across the ‘verse.

Please note that these phases are subject to change as the coroporation evolves trough them, to better fit the current economical situation and activites of both Æsir Corp and it’s members.

Startup phase

During the beginning phases, Æsir Corp will begin exploration of possible transport routes and mining locations. From there, it will aquire startup funds by it’s secondary activity: transporting goods between systems either trough trading, or by accepting transportation jobs.

During this phase Æsir Corp will operate strictly within UEE controlled space, to avoid danger and therefore avoid extra expenses in security. Once the corporation moves to later phases, it will be considered to move outside UEE space to aquire more luxurious jobs and goods.

Expansion phase

Once Æsir Corp gains a desirable amount of funds and overview of the ‘verse, the corporation will move on to the primary activity: mining. On this stage, a good portion of the UEE space should be mapped, and a suitable mining location will be chosen.

In this phase, Æsir Corp will still continue accepting transportation jobs, but the primary focus will be on mining. Hopefully, a good mining location will boost the incoming funds, and the corporation can begin expanding towards later phases.

Production phase

By this phase, Æsir Corp should have gained experience in mining valuable and rare ores, and in addition have a small network of traders. Once enough funds is secured, Æsir Corp will aquire a refinery to start refine the ores and produce goods. The goods will be sold via the network of traders, or on the open market, brokers, local markets, and so on.

Initially, the goods will consist of refined ores, but as the corporation grows the members will decide on what kind of production the company will move into, be it weapons, engines, ship parts, or fish tanks.

In this phase there is also a possibility to move outside UEE space to locate richer mining fields and better markets to sell the produced goods. This will be done at the members own risk, as there might not be enough funds to hire protection to assist members who venture into the wilderness.

End goals

Activities

The end goals is to have a thriving corporation that expands into a multitude of activities. Allthough Æsir Corp initially sets out to be a mining and trading corporation, expansion into a corporation that is self-substainable is one of the main goals. This means a security team needs to be formed to offer protection of dangerous shipping routes, production facilities, and escorts for long exploration trips.

As Æsir Corp values it’s members, all activities will be covered as long as there are members who are willing to fill the jobs. Bounty hunters, racers, Arena Commander champions, explorers looking for new systems, everything is available. This excludes piracy and other unlawful activities, as they are against the policy of the corporation.

Branching

Should Æsir Corp grow in amount of members as well as in economical and networking status, a decision will be made as to split the corporation into several groups with specific activities. This depends highly on the amount of members, and weather or not the members desire this direction.

Should branches appear, all activities that falls under the newly formed corporation will be moved there. Members who join this branch will set it as their main corporation, but will still be a part of the original Æsir Corp that serves as an administrative corporation. This is to allocate funds, relay information, and to have a general overview of the corporation as a whole.

Example: Some members are eager to fight, and want more action trough security jobs. A branch is formed with an apropriate name, but will have a prefix of ‘Æsir’. The members join and sets the new branch as their primary corporation. They will still be a part of Æsir Corp as a secondary corporation, so they can keep up to date on corporate wide activities and information. A leader of the new branch will be appointed and will have the responsibility of taking care of the branch members.

Please remember that for all intents and purposes, the branch will still be a part of Æsir Corp, and all the rules set will still apply.

Corporate property

As the corporation grows towards it’s prime, Æsir Corp should have a wide range of ships and gear freely available to it’s members. From small racing vessels and strong Arena Commander ships, to large freighters and multi-crew gun ships, all will be available trough corporate funds.

If branches are made, some gear and ships may be available only for the members of that specific branch, depending on supply and demand of the gear and ships.
This depends solely on the amount of members, and if there are so few ship and gear that each branch needs these at any given time. As long as Æsir Corp stays relatively small in terms of members, all corporate property will be shared.

Corporate Handling

Economy

The corporate economy is still under heavy debate and will on this time not be disclosed. However there are some key notes ready to be made public.

The goal of Æsir Corp’s economy is to have every member contribute to the corporate funds. This is done so that the corporation is able to provide what is listed under the ‘Corporate property’ section, and to fund the different phases, and misc expenses.

It is Æsir Crop’s intent to make this as fair as possible for all members, and have each member contribute an amount based on their expenses to the corporation and how active they are. Balancing the contribution from each member will be a difficult task, which means that what ever decition is made some members may be at a disadvantage. Rest asure that Æsir Corp will not make the decition lightly, and the main focus will be on member satisfaction, as well as the corporate’s well being.

Æsir Corp will consult members on this issue, as all major decitions will be drafted with the members before execution. See the ‘Leadership’ section for more details.

In regards to corporate funds, every corporate expense must be clarified with an apropriate high ranking member. It shall also be noted that no large expense is executed without consulting the members of the corporation, even if it’s for the corporations best interest. Æsir Corp values it’s members dearly, and they are therefor influencing what the corporate funds is spent on.

Leadership

Corporate leadership will solely exist to keep order and structure. As stated in the ‘Economy’ section, every large expence must first be discussed with the members, and this applies to all changes in the corporate strategy as well. It is the intent of the corporation that every member get a say in all matters, and all decisions will be reviewed by the members before they are carried out.

The leaders will mainly consist of the founders of Æsir Corp, but other members may be promoted to help with administrative and authorotive tasks. Leaders will not receive any special treatment or advantages over other members.

Æsir Corp’s policy is that everyones opinion matters, but be advised that the leaders may overrule minor suggestions if they go against corporate policy. Also note that leaders may make small decisions without consulting the member, if the decision is not affecting the corporate policy in any way. This may include, but is not limited to, promoting or demoting members, handling minor expenses, and terminating a members contract.

The leaders main job will be to administrate the corporation. This means that every potention buissnesspartner must strictly communicate with a leader. If other corporations contact a regular member about a buissnessoportunity, they must be redirected towards a leader.

One-time buissness-oportunities may be accepted without going trough a leader, but the general rules apply and so not every job should be carried out if under shady circumstances. Any long-term agreements must be dealt with by an apropriate leader.

Charter

Main rules

  • No piracy is tolerated in Æsir Corp.
  • Unless threatened or attacked, do not attack other players in UEE space.
  • You may be a member or be affiliated with as many other organizations as you whish, as long as said organization(s) does not voilate the above two rules.
  • Act profiessional around citizens outside Æsir Corp. Causing Æsir Corp a bad reputation may result in a termination of employment based on the severity of the actions performed.

General guidelines

  • Always be helpful and friendly. By doing so both you and Æsir Corp gains good reputation which is desirable. However, be aware while helping others, so to not be scamed or pirated.
  • If unable to help due to lack of time or means, politely refuse or ask other members or Æsir Corp if they are available.
  • If you are unhappy with another member of Æsir Corp, immediately consult HR about this to resolve any issues sooner rather than later.
  • Follow what is known as common sence.
