Algarve Exploration & Trading Corporation (AETCO) was founded by a husband and wife team as an alternative to the megacorporations which dominate commerce in the UEE. As a lean and agile company with superior technology and market intelligence, AETCO earns some of the highest margins in the industry.

In 2947, AETCO discovered a cluster of M-type asteroids in the Aaron Halo containing large deposits of hadinite and other minerals. After surveying the find and collecting ore samples, AETCO sold the discovery to ArcCorp for a record sum.
