“We breathe where others choke.”
Filed Fragment // UNS Recovered Archives // Classification: Redacted
They say Aetherbind began in the dying breath of a failed evacuation.
Two ships — a freighter and a decommissioned salvage rig — answered a distress beacon near the edge of Pyro. They weren’t heroes. They were just scavengers hoping for scrap. What they found was a shattered colony, one breath away from void, suffocating in the dark.
No government claimed the wreck. No corps dispatched aid. But those two crews, barely fit to fly, stayed. They patched what they could. Recycled oxygen from coolant lines. Converted cargo bays into barracks. They pulled life from scrap and bought time with grit.
When help finally arrived — weeks late — it wasn’t aid, but an armed blockade. A corp had bought the salvage rights mid-crisis and wanted everything erased: the wreck, the people, the story.
The crews didn’t back down.
They vanished.
The survivors left no names, no registry trails. But in the years that followed, stories emerged across Stanton and Nyx — ships bearing a black hex with golden wings, slipping between factions, reclaiming wrecks, running ops nobody else could.
They called them ghosts. Smugglers. Mercs.
They called them Aetherbind.
We breathe where others choke.
We are not a fleet. We are not a faction.
We are a current — silent, unseen, inescapable.
Born from void, bound by need, we are those who operate between the lines. Where corporations grind and empires collapse, we extract what remains. We do not ask permission. We do not seek recognition. We bind ourselves only to purpose.
We mine the forgotten, salvage the ruined, and move the valuable — no matter who claims to own it.
We fight when we must, not for glory, but because survival demands it.
Our pact is made not with law or loyalty, but with breath — the breath we take while others choke.
Aetherbind is not a home. It is a promise:
You will not die forgotten. You will not fly alone.
1. The Bind
All members are bound by a single tenet: survival through mutual action. We do not serve. We act. We do not follow. We execute.
2. Roles and Operations
Members are free to operate across four core lanes:
Mining: Extract value where others see debris.
Salvage: Reclaim the lost, the wrecked, the discarded.
Logistics: Move goods across systems — discreetly, efficiently.
Combat: Eliminate threats. Enforce silence.
Multirole flexibility is encouraged. Rank is irrelevant. Competence is everything.
3. Secrecy and Sovereignty
Aetherbind does not advertise.
Membership is invitation-only.
All external negotiations are masked or proxied. Our strength lies in ambiguity.
4. Command and Consensus
There is no standing hierarchy.
Temporary leads may be assigned per operation.
Decision-making is swift, autonomous, and always mission-focused.
5. Code of Breath
Leave no member behind.
No action without intent.
Silence is our shield.
Air is earned.
