Many islands. One sky.
I. Chronological History
Phase I: The Isolated Reefs (2942 – 2947)
Before ARCHST was a unified consortium, it existed as scattered, loosely aligned “islands” of independent pilots. Following the financial collapse of several small-scale logistics firms in the outer systems in 2942, a handful of independent cargo haulers and planetary miners realized they were easy prey for outlaw syndicates in places like the Pyro-Stanton jump corridor.
Operating out of makeshift habs and refueling stations, these pilots began sharing local system intelligence, trading routes, and market data. They called their informal network “The Archipelago”—a nod to how they were physically separated by light-years of empty space but functionally connected by their shared reliance on trade.
Phase II: The ARCHST Accord & The Move to microTech (2948 – 2952)
When Megacorporations completely locked down the Stanton system, the landscape of private trade shifted. Independent operators could no longer survive on solo runs.
In 2948, formal articles of coalition were drafted, officially establishing Archipelago Space & Trade (ARCHST). While many trade guilds set up shop in the smog of Hurston, ARCHST chose a different path, establishing its permanent headquarters in the dome-sheltered, high-tech haven of New Babbage on microTech. The founders chose [ARCHST] as their official U.E.E. transponder tag—signifying the Archway to the Stars and Trade.
2949: ARCHST established its primary executive offices and logistics grid in New Babbage, utilizing microTech’s advanced data-networks to optimize trade routes.
2950: The ARCHST Security & Escort Wing was officially formed, outfitting a fleet of heavy fighters and gunships to protect their high-value trade lanes from rising pirate threats.
2951: ARCHST successfully funded its first deep-space exploration fleet, discovering lucrative, uncharted mining fields in the asteroid belts of Stanton’s Lagrange points.
Through this rapid diversification, the guild proved that they could do it all: mine the raw materials, refine them, transport them under heavy military escort, and distribute them to the highest bidder.
Phase III: The Modern Era (2953 – Present / 2956)
Today, ARCHST stands as a premier multi-role consortium. While trading and social community remain the cultural heart of the organization, the guild’s capabilities are vast. ARCHST operates specialized divisions in logistics, security, heavy salvage, mining, and exploration.
Whether gathering at Wally’s Bar in New Babbage to talk shop, navigating corporate trade lanes, or preparing expeditions into the lawless, volatile frontiers of the Pyro system, ARCHST pilots operate under a single, defining principle: no matter how far we drift into the dark, we remain connected.
Logistics & Wealth Generation: The economic engine of ARCHST. We run the supply lines, strip the salvageable wrecks, and mine the rarest minerals to keep our treasury full and our members highly paid.
Tactical Self-Reliance: We do not rely on local authorities to keep us safe. ARCHST pilots are fully trained in combat flight, tactical defense, and fleet coordination. When we haul, we bring the teeth to defend it.
The Social “Harbor”: At its core, ARCHST is a community. We believe that games are meant to be played together. We prioritize a welcoming, zero-drama environment where veterans teach newcomers, and every member has a voice in the direction of the fleet.
“The megacorporations see the Verse as a ledger of transactions. The pirates see it as a hunting ground. We see it as an archipelago—thousands of isolated outposts, stations, and planets, waiting for someone bold enough to connect them under the ARCHST banner.”
— From the ARCHST Charter
I. THE FOUNDATIONAL TRUTH
The United Earth Empire is vast, but it is not whole.
Look out across the Stanton system and the frontiers beyond. The megacorporations see a ledger of transactions, extracting wealth from frozen moons and smog-choked worlds. The outlaws and pirates see a lawless hunting ground, preying on the isolated and the weak.
They see a void. We see an Archipelago.
To us, the stars, the planetary landing zones, the orbital stations, and the deep-space mining outposts are not isolated points in a dark ocean. They are islands. Separate, yet deeply connected by the brave souls who fly between them.
No pilot is an island. No ship can weather the dark alone. Archipelago Space & Trade [ARCHST] was founded on a simple, unbreakable truth: we are stronger together.
II. OUR CREED & CONVICTIONS
1. Prosperity Through Partnership
We are traders, haulers, miners, and salvagers first. We believe that a full cargo hold is the lifeblood of freedom in the Verse. We share trade data, coordinate logistics, and pool our resources so that every member of the guild—from the rookie flying an Aurora to the captain of a Hull-E—prospers.
2. Shielded by Steel
We are peaceful, but we are never passive. The trade lanes of the Verse are fraught with danger. Because of this, ARCHST does not rely on local authorities to keep us safe. We maintain a dedicated, combat-ready fleet of security forces and tactical pilots. When we fly, we bring the shields to protect our investments and the teeth to punish those who threaten our people.
3. A Sanctuary in the Cold
The black is cold and indifferent. That is why ARCHST is, above all else, a community. We gather under the warmth of the New Babbage domes on microTech to trade stories, share a drink at Wally’s, and coordinate our next adventures. We are a drama-free sanctuary where veterans mentor newcomers, where every voice is heard, and where every member has a home.
4. Mastery of the Horizon
We do not limit ourselves. If there is a loop to be run, we run it. If there is a derelict to salvage, we strip it. If there is a jump point to chart, we map it. ARCHST is a multi-role, highly adaptable consortium. We cultivate the freedom to do everything this Verse has to offer.
III. THE CODE OF THE ARCHIPELAGO
To wear the [ARCHST] tag is to carry ourselves with honor among the stars. Every pilot in our fleet commits to three core tenets:
Protect the Fleet: We leave no pilot stranded. If an ARCHST beacon goes active, we respond.
Deliver the Goods: Our word is our bond. Whether transporting high-value quantum drives or basic medical supplies, ARCHST completes the contract.
Respect the Crew: We cultivate a social environment built on mutual respect, camaraderie, and shared fun. We fly as equals.
IV. JOIN THE CONGLOMERATE
Whether you are a seasoned fighter pilot looking for reliable escorts, a relaxed industrialist looking for a crew to mine the belts, or a new player looking to find your footing in Stanton, your harbor is here.
We are the bridge between the stars. We are the shield against the dark. We are ARCHST.
Many islands. One sky.
ARCHIPELAGO SPACE & TRADE [ARCHST] — U.E.E. Chartered, microTech Registered.
THE OFFICIAL CHARTER OF ARCHIPELAGO SPACE & TRADE
Document Ref: ARCHST-CHARTER-2956.1A
Effective Date: 16 July 2956 (In-Verse Standard)
Governing Authority: The Board of Directors, New Babbage, microTech
ARTICLE I: NAME & ESTABLISHMENT
Section 1.01: Official Designation
The official name of this collective entity is Archipelago Space & Trade, hereinafter referred to as ARCHST or “the Guild.” All affiliated vessels, outposts, and personnel shall operate under the official U.E.E. transponder registry tag [ARCHST].
Section 1.02: Central Registry & Headquarters
The primary administrative offices, financial servers, and social operations of ARCHST are permanently registered at the microTech Plaza, New Babbage, Stanton System. Secondary logistical hubs may be designated by the Board of Directors across other key systems.
ARTICLE II: THE ARCHST MANDATE
Section 2.01: Multi-Role Versatility
While ARCHST is founded upon the pillars of interstellar trade, logistics, and social community, the Guild explicitly reserves the right to engage in all legal (and highly profitable) operations across the Verse. This includes, but is not limited to:
Bulk Cargo Logistics and Market Speculation
Raw Material Extraction, Refining, and Heavy Salvage
Frontier Exploration and System Surveying
Tactical Escort, Bounty Hunting, and Fleet Security
ARTICLE III: FLEET STRUCTURE & DIVISIONS
ARCHST operates as a unified entity divided into three distinct, mutually supportive branches. Every member is encouraged to cross-train, but may choose a primary alignment.
Section 3.01: Archipelago Logistics (Arch-Log)
The economic lifeblood of the Guild. This division manages all cargo vessels, mining operations, salvage crews, and trade negotiations. They are tasked with generating the wealth that keeps the organization’s fleet fueled, armed, and funded.
Section 3.02: Archipelago Tactical (Arch-Tac)
The martial shield of the Guild. This division manages all combat-rated vessels, security patrols, and defensive escorts for Logistics operations. Arch-Tac is sworn to protect all ARCHST assets with overwhelming defensive force.
Section 3.03: Archipelago Social (Arch-Soc)
The heart of the community. Arch-Soc manages Guild-wide events, joint fleet operations, member onboarding, and recruitment. They ensure that Wally’s Bar remains stocked and that no pilot in the Guild ever feels isolated in the black.
ARTICLE IV: THE PILOT’S CODE OF CONDUCT
Every pilot displaying the [ARCHST] tag agrees to abide by the following operational directives:
Directive 1 (The Lifeline): An active distress beacon or Call to Arms from a verified ARCHST member takes tactical priority over non-critical tasks, safety permitting.
Directive 2 (Integrity of Trade): ARCHST merchants shall not engage in bad-faith business practices, scamming, or breach of hauling contracts with clients. Our word is our bond.
Directive 3 (Community First): The Guild is a zero-tolerance zone for toxic behavior, drama, or harassment. We fly as a crew, and we treat every member with respect, regardless of experience level.
Directive 4 (Self-Defense Only): ARCHST is a peaceful, trade-oriented community. Unprovoked piracy or griefing of neutral, law-abiding citizens under the [ARCHST] tag is strictly prohibited.
ARTICLE V: FINANCIALS & REWARDS
Section 5.01: Operations and Taxation
Individual pilots retain 100% of the profits from their personal cargo runs, mining, and solo activities.
For Guild-organized fleet operations (such as multi-crew mining, heavy salvage ops, or defended cargo runs), profits will be distributed equally among active participants, with a pre-agreed percentage allocated to the Guild Treasury to fund ship replacement programs and fuel/ammo costs.
ARTICLE VI: AMENDMENTS & REVISION
This charter represents a living document. As the Stanton system shifts and the jump points to new frontiers open, the Board of Directors retains the authority to amend these articles to protect the prosperity of our members.
“In the cold of the Verse, we are the warmth of the harbor. In the chaos of the black, we are the strength of the chain.”
Approved by the Board of Directors, New Babbage, microTech.
