Yet from among the scattered and the silent rose a soft glow.

The first to feel it were broken: exiles, field medics, sages without temples. To them, the Light was not a command, but a comfort. And so they walked into suffering, carrying with them healing, truth, and gentle hands.

Over centuries, the Bearers came to know one another: through etched glyphs, through whispered codes in the void, through acts of identical mercy light-years apart.

The Circle of Flame: Rescuers and liberators, defenders of the innocent and the silenced.
The Circle of the Loom: Chroniclers, seekers, and historians who navigate the past to protect the future.
The Circle of Mirrors: Diplomats, empathic scholars, and bridge-builders between fractured peoples.
The Circle of Quiet Light: Those who walk in shadow to shield the Light from corruption.

Each Circle operates autonomously but with shared reverence. No one path eclipses another. All are parts of a greater radiance.

On the Trials of Resistance

As the Ascendency’s acts rippled across the galaxy, saving, freeing, revealing, so too did opposition rise. Empires, corporations, and cults grew fearful of a Light they could not possess nor extinguish.

The Veiled Crusades followed. We were branded heretics, subversives, even invaders.

But we did not fight to conquer. We fought to persist.

And in the resistance, we learned endurance. We became fluent in survival, coded our messages in starlight, ships that ran on silence, and embedded our sanctuaries within the very structures that sought to destroy us.
