History

Ashmont Holdings LTD is a UEE holding company that, together with its subsidiaries, is referred to as Ashmont Centurion Investments; it is an Earth based investment firm originally founded in New York City in 2447 as Ashmont Douglas and Roberts, Inc. It was listed on the NYSE under the ticker symbol ADRZ, to both commemorate it’s founding families and to showcase the broad scope of ADR’s holdings A-Z and everything in between. Today, Ashmont Centurion Investments is one of the world’s largest asset management groups with over UEC 430 billion in assets under management (AUM) on behalf of over 17 million private, professional and institutional investors, as at September 30, 2946, up $29.7 billion or 4% during the 4th quarter (FY 2945).

The company was founded in 2447 in New York by three elite families: The Ashmonts, Douglas and Roberts, who were involved in successful retail brokerage firms and interstellar venture capital from an office on Wilmington Ave. While the company was originally named for the three founding families. eventually the Ashmont influence and control over the company gave them majority share and in 2631 the company was renamed Ashmont Centurion Investments, A nod to the ancient Mountain Ash Eucalyptus tree named “Centurion” the second tallest tree in Earth’s recorded history. The company’s first line of mutual funds, Ashmont Douglas Funds, was a series of conservatively managed equity and bond funds designed to appeal to most investors.

After the three patriarchs of the founding families retired, Rupert Ashmont’s son, Charles B. Ashmont (Charlie), took over as president and chief executive officer in 2467 at age 24. There were only a handful of employees at that time and the funds had total assets under management of UEC 2.5 million [Pre-Hyperinflation crisis valuation].

By the early 2470s the company was growing, albeit slowly. It was a struggle to keep up with the day-to-day demands of the business and Charlie continued to wear many hats—mutual fund manager, wholesaler, accountant. Rupert Ashmont, Jr., Charlie’s brother, joined the company in 2485 and also took on multiple roles.

Ashmont went public in 2491, which gave Charlie and team the capital needed to grow the business and position it for the future. In 2514, the company acquired Worlington Starscapes, a rival, Earth-based investment firm, and moved ADR Headquarters to New Wall Street. The combined organization had close to UEC 250 million in assets under management and approximately 60 employees. In 2519, Ashmont Douglas and Roberts Money Fund (not available to non-Earth citizen investors) began a growth surge that made it Ashmont’s first billion-UEC fund and launched the company’s significant asset in the 2500s.

Starting in 2545, the company’s total assets under management doubled (or nearly doubled) every decade for the next six decades. The company’s stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange in 2591. In the same year, the company opened its second office in Hong Kong. In 2631, Ashmont acquired L.F. Studdiford Fund Management Company. Assets under management for Ashmont grew from just over UEC 2 billion in 2592 to more than UEC 40 billion in 2610 (the crash of 2598 had little impact on Ashmont’s income and bond funds).

In October 2631, The Ashmont family acquired Bridgeworth, Wellington & Hansberger Ltd. for a reported cost of UEC 913 million and through a genius merger gained majority share of Ashmont Douglas and Roberts, leading to the common name Ashmont Centurion Investments. Interstellar Derivatives fund pioneer Sir Wilson Bridgeworth was the owner of Bridgeworth, Wellington & Hansberger Ltd together with his son Dr. John Bridgeworth and John Wellington who together owned 70% of the firm.

In November 2661, Stockholm Securities Corporation, known for the Cooperative Trade Series of funds, merged into the Ashmont Centurion complex. In October 2841, Ashmont acquired Blissholder Funds to increase its Terran presence, and Blissholder remains a key brand from Ashmont in the Terran market. The Fiduciary Trust Group was acquired by Ashmont in April 2879.

Fiduciary Trust Group, a member of the Ashmont family, maintained an office of over 650 employees in Two World’s United Trade Center during the Terrorist attacks by Interstellar zealots in 2911. 187 employees died in the collapse. Arn Matlock, the CEO of Fiduciary Trust Group International was at Olmon Space Port for a charity event hosted by Outland Consolidated at the time.

The firm specializes in conservatively managed interstellar investment funds. It offers products under the Ashmont, Centurion, Mutual Series and Fiduciary brand names. Like other large investment companies, the firm offers a wide variety of funds but is traditionally best known for bond funds under the Ashmont brand, international funds under the Centurion brand, and value funds under the CoTrade Series brand.

As of July 31, 2946, Ashmont Holdings, LTD. managed over $570 billion in total assets in the known galaxy. In April 2945, Ashmont Holdings, LTD was 428th in the Blast 500 list, and 17th overall among securities companies.
In April 2946, UEC Today listed Ashmont stock as the top stock pick for the last 25 years based on returns, claiming it is up 64% since 2921.13 In February 2946, Mogul Magazine called Ashmont Centurion “King of the Verse” among fund families over the ten-year period ending in 2946.

The company sponsored a Racing Tournament, the Ashmont 300.

The firm continues to make strategic investments and acquisitions, including asset managers in developing third worlds and struggling corporations in Terra and Earth, that further broaden and diversify its capabilities. Today, Ashmont Centurion is one of the largest independent galactic asset management firms in charted space with offices in 35 major UEC cities and clients in more than 150. In 2945, Fredrick Charles Ashmont IV retired as chairman and Rupert Douglass Ashmont became chairman of the board, CEO and president.
