Aurora Consortium- Expanding your horizon with our vision.

History

Greetings Citizens,

I would like to introduce The “Aurora Consortium” or AurCon. We are a friendly competitive guild looking for both competitive and casual pilots. The Consortium is co-founded by FoolMeOnce, and myself – Tonaga. Both of us have 10 years of gaming experience as players and guild leaders, and both of us are veteran EVE online players that have played since its launch. Our main focus at AurCon is manufacturing, trade, mining, and salvaging. However, we see a need for a great competitive and robust combat armada.

Manifesto

Overall Guild Mission Statement
We are a Corporation of adult, mature, veteran gamers. We seek to make community Aurora Consortium the strongest, most well known, and most successful Corporation in Star Citizen. We are dedicated to a friendly, team focused, fun-loving, competitive gaming environment where every member is important and not just a number on a roster.

Charter

Greetings Citizens,

We plan to have two divisions shortly after launch:

Division 1, M.M.S.T: Mining, Manufacturing, Salvaging, Trading.

This division is pretty self-explanatory but here’s the skinny. This division will be mining ore and other precious rocks from whatever can be mined and turning it into components and/or modules. They will also be salvaging wrecks, stations, and other space flotsam. Finally, they will trade all the goodies all over the star citizen universe. FoolMeOnce is the Overseer of this division.

Division 2, Combat Armada.

This division is comprised of the hard hitters, the protectors. It will be divided into two companies Later on once we have enough people, but I will explain both here. Tonaga is the Commander of the Armada. SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUM.

Sword Company.

They are the hard hitters, alpha pack. They train for attack tactics, to over power, out maneuver, and out think their enemy. In the words of a friend of mine “First Recon: Search and Destroy.”

Shield Company.

This company focuses on defense, tanking, and keeping the enemy focused on them. They will provide escort to trade convoys, and high value assets. When they’re not, they will patrol AurCon territory enforcing our policies. Additionally, they will provide protection for diplomatic envoys.

Note: Depending on numbers available, mission priority, and recommendation from combat armada leaders members will be chosen from Sword Company to accompany Shield Company. Mission leaders will be chosen by pilot skills and/or rank.

Core Rules

Aurora Consortium only accepts members into its ranks that are of similar personalities, goals and values to its own. All of our members support and follow our core guild rules and anyone who cannot, is removed. Our core rules and values have served us well, and continue to be the guiding principles behind moving the guild forward. Our core rules include, but are not limited to:

  1. Corp First: We expect all members to ensure that all actions they take are done in the mindset of ‘guild first’. Anything a member does reflects on the overall corporate image and on all fellow members. We expect members to only take actions that reflect positively on the corporate image that we have worked very hard to build and maintain.
  1. We recruit the PERSON not the TOON. We look for good PEOPLE not only a toon that meets a specific set of requirements. As such members of Aurora Consortium cannot be a member of any other guild that has a branch of their guild in any game we play. Membership in another guild, in games we do not play, is permitted with some caveats (ex: you could not be in a guild that was a cheater/exploiter guild in one game and in a game we play espouse to uphold our high values in that area.)
  1. It is not permitted to relay any information outside the corporation, for any reason, at any time. Aurora Consortium is part of a private gaming organization. We do not share information with the public except through official channels and officially sanctioned outlets. Therefore no member should reveal any information, no matter how minor they may think it is, outside the corporation.
  1. Participate In Corporate Events. Hunts, Raids, Events and other in game activities occur all the time. You are expected to take place in as many of them as possible. We understand people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is ok. But if you are online, and we are having a event of some sort, you need to be there and participating in it. Actively working against the corporation on any mission will result in immediate and permanent removal.
  1. Leadership roles in Aurora Consortium are decided based on demonstrated ability as well as the need for a leader in a particular spot. You can be assured that your leaders are working hard to make the game more fun for you. While the reason behind every decision may not always be apparent at the moment an order is issued, all orders from officers need to be immediately followed. If errors are made, they should be reported to FoolMeOnce or Tonaga where they will be dealt with and, if needed, changes made to the officer team. Absent those changes, all officers should be listened to as though it was FoolMeOnce or Tonaga issuing the order.
  1. We are a TEAM of FRIENDS. Backing up your Corpmates is expected because they will do the same for you. Aurora Consortium members understand that sometimes personal character sacrifice is needed for the team to complete a mission. We don’t view it as personal sacrifice, however, because we are helping out a friend and that is more important than loot or pixels on a screen. Games come and go.
  1. Deadweight is not needed in the corp. Failure to maintain an acceptable level of activity will result in your removal. We do have an “inactive” status for members who are retired from games we play and wish to join us in future games. For those active in games, we expect them to read our posting forum Daily for our updates. We expect at least 1 email per week to the Board Of Directors and/or their squad leader to keep them informed of your progress and any issues, ideas, feedback etc.. that you have. Simply vanishing off the face of the earth without any email indicating you wish to go to inactive status is taken as a sign you have quit the corp and membership is removed.
  1. Members who cannot follow core rules and standards, are removed from the corporation.

Standards Of Conduct

These standards go hand in hand with our core Corporation rules but they bear repeating so all future members understand what we expect from members. Those standards of conduct include, but are not limited to:

  1. Members may not use cheats or exploits
  1. Members may not Kill/murder other Corp members. Consensual pvp is permitted, encouraged and a fun aspect of the corp.
  1. Upholding of all corp values and rules is required of all members. There are no exceptions whether you are a member for 10 days or 10 years. All members must maintain the values of the corp.
  1. Members need to behave in a mature, professional, team focused manner. Self focused, loot focused, immature people will not be tolerated, in saying this we want our members to be well equipped, just do it in a tasteful manner.
  1. Make friends in the corp. At our core we are a Team Of Friends. So make friends. Those friendships make us strong.
  1. Any issues with guild policies are brought directly to FoolMeOnce or Tonaga, 1 on 1, via email. Publicly bashing or complaining about them is not tolerated.
  1. Personal attacks on other members is not permitted. Handle issues with another player 1 on 1, in a mature professional way. Seek an officers help if needed but do not personally attack other members.
  1. Backstabbing, looting, stealing from, scamming or otherwise harming other members is not permitted. It all goes back to our core value that we are a team of friends.
  1. Profanity.. sexual content.. and obscene content are to be kept to a minimum in guild channels in game, or on Teamspeak. Keep in mind most members are adults and can not be forced to censor their ways. However there maybe minors around so keep yourself in check. Thick skin is recommended.
  1. If a corp officer tells you to do something, do it immediately. Do not argue or complain to them and definitely do not get nasty with them or removal will occur and you can explain to FoolMeonce or Tonaga why you had to behave that way and should be let back in.
  1. TeamSpeak is required a mic. is optional.

Finally, all pilots employed by AurCon are encouraged to take private contracts from other players or NPCs. It not only increases your experience and skill as a pilot, but your bank account as well.
However, there are some restrictions.

1. You will NOT attack AurCon Pilots, Territory, or other assets.

2. If we have an alliance with another guild(s) or in the Process of making an alliance with guild(s) You will NOT Attack their Pilots, Territory, or other assets.

It is the pilot’s responsibility to check and verify the contracts before accepting them so that it does not breach these rules. If you are unsure if a contract is in violation of these rules ask your immediate superior.
