History

The Bilge Rats are the grease-stained hands keeping the Verse in motion. While others focus on the fight, we focus on their fleet. Our crew specializes in the technical heart of Star Citizen: Repair, Refueling, and Recovery. We are the mobile pit crew dedicated to assisting those stranded in the verse.

Manifesto

I. THE VOID DOES NOT FORGIVE
The Verse is a cold, mechanical beast. It eats fuel, sheds hull plating, and breaks the spirits of those who don’t respect it. Most see a ship as a weapon or a cargo box; we see it as a living organism. When the engines go dark and the oxygen thins, the Bilge Rats are the only thing standing between a pilot and the long sleep.

II. REPAIR, REFUEL, RECOVER
We are the lifeline. We don’t chase glory or political borders. We chase the distress signal.

Repair: We patch what is torn.

Refuel: We feed what is empty.

Recover: We bring home what is lost.

III. THE STRAY CODE
We were all “Strays” once. The Bilge Rats operate as a collective of engineers, salvagers, and recovery specialists. We value the person who stays in the engineering sub-deck over the one who sits in the captain’s chair. Every recruit is trained, every member is paid, and no Rat is left behind on a dead hull.

IV. GRIT OVER GOLD
Our reputation is our currency. We are known for our technical precision and our refusal to quit. If a ship can be saved, we will save it. If it can’t, we’ll salvage every bolt and use it to build something better.

  • Contract Mining: Extraction of raw ores from asteroids and planetary surfaces.
  • Hull Scraping: Full-scale salvage operations for derelict or “unclaimed” vessels.

III. LOGISTICS & LABOR
  • Heavy Hauling: Moving high-value cargo through contested space.
  • Site Preparation: Clearing debris or “nuisance” wrecks from mining/salvage claims.
