Freedom. That’s what we sail for, freedom to live how we please and take what we want. We do not harm those that surrender. For those that fight us, your life is forfeit. Fly and die by the rush of adrenalin, or why live at all. We come from the black, and out here, there is only the Code.
History
Founded after a pirate from Old Earth, Blackbeard’s Revenge serves to remind the universe that in space, you are never alone. Edward Harrin, later named Edward Thatch, founded Revenge in 2884, with the intention to raid, pillage, and plunder the fat wealthy merchants of Terra, Baker, and nearby shipping lanes. After being routed by the UEE Thatch fled to Ashana in the Nul system. Here Thatch slowly built a smuggling syndicate in the remains of the UEES Olympus, alongside slavers, thieves, assassins, and pirates. Thatch commanded his men not with violence, but with fear, and respect. Thatch lived by a Code, and his men followed it to the letter, or they never made it home. In 2938, a new Leader has donned the mantle, grown a beard, and taken command of the Revenge, bringing it back to its piracy roots. This leader was born into the Code, and to the Code he will remain faithful.
Manifesto
Blackbeard’s Revenge is a pirate syndicate fronted by a…respectable…smuggling business. We do not harm those that surrender, but those who fight us count themselves lucky to escape with their life. We take ships, and everything inside them, strip them down and sell the goods to the nearest fence. The darker side of the law is a hard place, but well worth the freedom. We smuggle when the shipping lanes are empty, and pirate when they are full. Follow the Code, and be rich yourself. We take care of our own, and we are in it to make money and have fun.
