BLACKCOM. Private Sector Operations.

History

BLACKCOM, last of the Free Companies of Horus, has existed for over 400-hundred years.

Founded in 2545, BLACKCOM became one of the more trusted – and effective – of the Horus-based mercenary bands pulled in to fight the First Tevarian War, and stands now as the last company from Serling still carrying the torch of tradition, discipline, and independence from integration with the UEE.

Manifesto

The Black Company is first and foremost a brotherhood, bound by respect for the old traditions, a culture of comradery, a strong chain of command, and a passion to bring the best results – and get paid while doing it.

While its size has fluctuated throughout the centuries based on needs or wealth of its time, The Black Company is disciplined, skilled, and precision-focused. Every action taken to task is done right, no matter who the mark or what the charge. If The Black Company takes a job, it gets done and it gets done right.

Charter

The Black Company is a light role-playing organization. There are three main rules.

1

You must acknowledge and respect both rank and order within the organization. This simply means respecting those around you within the organization, and following the chain of command.

2

As one of the brotherhood, you carry the proverbial banner of The Black Company with you wherever you go. Out there, you represent all of us. We’re better than most. Make it known, and do our reputation justice. We are professionals, so we do things right.

3

We are not a criminal organization. You are not a criminal. Where you’ve been is of no concern to The Black Company. We keep our noses out of the business of other organizations, species, factions, or governments. We don’t take sides or make moral justifications about our work.

We do jobs. We get paid. The Verse marches on, and so do we.
