Bullets, Whiskey, and Brotherhood.
Founded: 2376
Primary Operations: Salvage, Mining, Cargo Logistics
Doctrine: Small, elite, self-reliant
The Blackjacks were founded in 2376 during a period of rapid industrial expansion along the fringes of UEE-controlled space. As larger corporations rushed to scale up operations and dominate entire systems, a small group of independent industrial pilots and former militia specialists chose a different path. They believed that survival and success in the verse did not come from sheer numbers, but from discipline, skill, and adaptability.
From the beginning, the Blackjacks intentionally remained small in size, selecting members based on competence rather than availability. Every pilot was expected to master their role—whether breaking wrecks in hostile debris fields, extracting ore from unstable claim sites, or moving high-value cargo through contested routes. Cross-training became a core principle, ensuring that no operation relied on a single specialist or ship.
Industrial work is the heart of the organization. The Blackjacks built their reputation in salvage, reclaiming derelicts and battlefield remains others deemed too dangerous or unprofitable. This naturally expanded into mining operations, often in remote or unsecured systems where experience mattered more than escorts. Over time, their logistical arm grew as well, with cargo hauling becoming the connective tissue that tied their industrial efforts together—moving refined materials, reclaimed components, and contract freight efficiently and quietly.
Despite being an industrial organization, the Blackjacks learned early that the verse does not reward passivity. Pirates, hostile claim jumpers, and opportunistic raiders forced the group to evolve. Rather than hiring protection, the Blackjacks developed their own defensive force, composed of members who trained as rigorously in combat as others did in industry. Their doctrine emphasizes coordination, ship mastery, and situational awareness over brute force.
As a result, the Blackjacks earned a reputation for being far harder to intimidate than their size would suggest. While they do not seek conflict, they are fully capable of going toe to toe with most threats long enough to protect their assets, break contact, or decisively end an engagement when required.
Today, the Blackjacks remain true to their founding vision: a tight-knit, highly trained industrial organization that values professionalism, preparation, and mutual trust. In a universe dominated by sprawling megacorps and chaotic pirate bands, the Blackjacks stand apart—quietly profitable, fiercely competent, and unwilling to bet their future on anything less than excellence.
THE BLACKJACKS MANIFESTO
We are the ones who go where others won’t.
We take the contracts left behind, the wrecks left drifting, and the routes marked “too dangerous.”
We do not flood the verse with numbers.
We sharpen the few.
We are industrial by trade, extracting value from chaos and debris.
We are defensive by necessity, ready to fight when our work or our people are threatened.
We believe in earned credits, trusted guns, and crews that watch each other’s backs.
We fly together.
We fight together.
We profit together.
When the job is done and the cargo is secure, we share a drink, tell the story, and prepare for the next run—because tomorrow, the verse will test us again.
Bullets for those who push us.
Whiskey for the road behind us.
Brotherhood above all else.
Blackjacks Are One.
BLACKJACKS CHARTER
Organization Name: Blackjacks
Founded: 2376
Slogan: Bullets, whiskey, and brotherhood.
Article I — Purpose
The Blackjacks exist to operate as a small, elite industrial organization within the Star Citizen universe, specializing in salvage, mining, and cargo logistics, while maintaining a capable defensive force able to protect its members and assets.
Our purpose is to generate profit through skill and coordination, to safeguard our crews against hostile forces, and to foster a culture of mutual respect, professionalism, and camaraderie.
Article II — Unity
Blackjacks Are One
The strength of the Blackjacks is found not in numbers, but in unity. Every action taken by a member reflects upon the organization as a whole. As such, the following principles are foundational and non-negotiable:
We will aid those members in need, whether in combat, industry, or personal matters within the verse.
We will work together to complete a goal, placing organizational success above individual gain.
We will be mature in our actions, understanding that our behavior represents the Blackjacks in all public and private engagements.
We will work to better Blackjacks, through training, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
We will have fun, because the verse is meant to be lived in, not endured.
Article III — Operations
The Blackjacks focus on the following operational pillars:
Industrial Salvage — Recovery and reclamation of derelicts, wrecks, and battlefield remains.
Mining — Extraction of raw materials in both secure and unsecured systems.
Cargo & Logistics — Transport of refined goods, reclaimed components, and contracted freight.
While industrial in nature, the Blackjacks maintain an organic defensive force composed of trained members capable of escort, area denial, and asset protection. We do not seek conflict, but we are prepared to meet it when necessary.
Article IV — Conduct & Discipline
Members of the Blackjacks are expected to act with professionalism at all times:
Respect fellow members, allies, and neutral parties.
Follow operational leadership during missions.
Avoid actions that would bring disrepute or unnecessary attention to the organization.
Settle disputes internally whenever possible.
Discipline exists not to restrict freedom, but to ensure trust, safety, and success.
Article V — Brotherhood
The Blackjacks are more than an organization—they are a brotherhood. Trust is earned through shared risk, shared labor, and shared victories. Loyalty to one another is paramount, and no member stands alone when flying under the Blackjack banner.
