Black Sun Corp. was founded by Zefram Cochrane in 2250 not long after RSI introduced it’s next generation fusion engine. Trade missions within our solar system then became simple. Soon after the discovery of the first jump point in 2262 at the neso triangle business took off at an alarming rate. Cochrane never imaged this young trade company would be needing additional ships for the quickly increasing demand of supply’s in the outer reaches of space. In 2438 the discovery of the first alien race the Banu, resulted in the inclusion of larger trade options. With the discovery of the Xi’An in 2530 the need to hire fighter escorts became a necessity in order for our trade convoys to reach their destinations safely. The Tevarin race was the next to be discovered in the Elysium system in the year 2541. A race less technologically advanced than we were but with their strategic brilliance and endurance they set in motion a war that lasted for over four years. Our trade routes then became increasingly treacherous. This would not stop us, the company had existed for 300 years and this would not slow the renowned Black Sun Corporation. By the year 2610 the second war with the Tevarin had drawn to an end. We thought our trade routes had finally become safe and for a time they were. The massacre of the Dell Township/Water Purification Settlement on the Armitage Planet in the Orion System in 2681 changed everything, we now had the Vanduul to fight. Resulting in the possession of a prodigious fighter escort to keep our merchandise safe during transport. In 2872 the project Archangel emerged this undertaking became massively unprofitable for the UEE’S governments, but for the trade business it was extremely beneficial. Today the future of Black Sun Corp. is full of uncertainty but we will continue to trade until there is nothing left to sell.
