Black Nova Group operates where protection fails and silence falls. A disciplined private force specializing in bounty hunting and security operations. Born in silence, Bound by consequence.
Black Nova Group was established in 2885 in the wake of the Fall of Caliban. The organization traces its origin to UEE Navy Captain Elias Varrin, former commanding officer of the UEES Resolute. During the final evacuation efforts in the Caliban system, Varrin received classified directives prioritizing high-value political and corporate extractions over stranded civilians and frontline personnel. Rejecting those orders, he diverted his ship to continue evacuation efforts, escorting civilian transports out of the combat zone at great personal and operational risk.
Shortly after the operation, Captain Varrin resigned his commission without public statement. No commendations were issued, and his record was quietly sealed. In the months following his departure, reports emerged of unidentified strike teams and unmarked vessels intervening in unstable regions — extracting civilians, neutralizing pirate elements, and executing security operations in zones where official assistance failed to arrive.
These forces formally introduced themselves under a new banner: Black Nova Group.
Initially led solely by Varrin, Black Nova Group developed into a disciplined, covert paramilitary force specializing in bounty hunting, mercenary support, high-risk extractions, and targeted security operations. Recruitment focused on experienced soldiers, frontier specialists, and operatives who valued action over bureaucracy and principle over protocol.
Leadership Transition
In 2948, Captain Elias Varrin was confirmed deceased following a classified operation outside UEE-regulated space. In accordance with his final directive, Black Nova Group transitioned from single-leader command to a council of four senior members, ensuring stability, operational impartiality, and continuity of its founding doctrine. These council members remain undisclosed to preserve both strategic secrecy and internal unity.
Modern Operations
Today, Black Nova Group remains fully independent from UEE command authority. It operates across frontier sectors and developing territories, accepting contracts aligned with its foundational principles:
Protect the vulnerable.
Confront hostile threats.
Deliver justice where oversight fails.
Black Nova Group continues to serve as a precision force in the shadows — stepping in where politics, bureaucracy, and distance leave civilians exposed and threats unchecked.
Across known space, citizens place their trust in the systems built to protect them. Armies, navies, laws, and charters are meant to stand between humanity and the void. Yet history has shown that duty can falter under politics, distance, and fear.
We were formed in the silence left when protection failed.
Black Nova Group exists to act where hesitation costs lives. We answer calls others deem inconvenient. We move where conventional forces cannot or will not. We operate without spectacle, without applause, and without dependence on institutional permission.
We acknowledge the UEE and its ideals, but we do not rely on them to uphold those ideals. When citizens are left exposed, when frontier worlds are abandoned, when hostile forces exploit the shadows between systems, we intervene with purpose and precision.
Our guiding principles are clear:
• No innocent left behind by neglect or indifference.
• No hostile threat permitted to prey unchecked.
• No voice ignored simply because it speaks from the edge of space.
We do not seek territory, power, or acclaim. Our strength is measured in lives protected, threats neutralized, and communities secured before they become casualties of neglect.
We do not replace institutions.
We fill the void where they fail.
Where bureaucracy hesitates, we act.
Where corruption obscures truth, we see clearly.
Where danger grows in silence, we stand.
This galaxy is vast. Its dangers are real.
Humanity deserves guardians who do not turn away.
Born in silence, Bound by consequence.
Black Nova Group
Unseen. Unbroken. Unrelenting.
Preamble
Black Nova Group is a private military and security organization established to operate where civilian lives are endangered, governmental protection is insufficient, and hostile forces act without consequence. Our mandate is service, precision, and accountability in defense of those who would otherwise stand alone.
Founded in the aftermath of the Fall of Caliban, the Group exists not in defiance of the United Empire of Earth, but in recognition that no institution can answer every call. Where silence follows distress, we act.
