History

Black Squad Reaction Force (BSRF) was founded out of a long-standing love for teamwork-driven gameplay and a belief in what Star Citizen is ultimately trying to become.

For its founder, Star Citizen was the first game in over a decade that inspired a full PC upgrade just to experience it properly. That excitement wasn’t about ships or graphics alone — it was about the scale, the cooperation, and the potential for meaningful player-driven moments. BSRF grew from that passion.

The original concept for Black Squad began as a small, coordination-focused unit intended to support larger group operations. Over time, it became clear that the idea needed space to grow independently — without rushing, without politics, and without forcing structure where the game itself is still evolving.

Rather than building around numbers or hierarchy, Black Squad Reaction Force was formed to focus on intentional gameplay:

BSRF was intentionally established during a period of transition in Star Citizen — with wipes, changing systems, and real-life priorities all in mind. This timing reinforced the decision to build slowly, plan deliberately, and prioritize culture over momentum.

a reaction force built for players who value communication, adaptability, and purpose — without turning the game into a job.

PvE is just as important. We use events and game loops as opportunities to learn mechanics, improve communication, and build trust within the group. Success is measured not just by completion, but by how well the team operates together.
