History
The Swashbucklers hail from the UEE Navy Squadron 214 “The Black Crows”. Following the events of the 2932 Virgil Raid, Squadron 214 returned to the UEES Typhon and were greeted as hero’s who defied orders for the sake of the greater good. The Black Crows earned their place as hero’s of the UEE Navy. Squadron 214 continues to serve the Navy on the Vanduul front today still just as rebellious and with a incredible blood thirst for revenge.
The Swashbucklers is where many pilots and crew members of Squadron 214 end up after being terminated from service. Many because they were court martialed for disobeying orders, but others because they felt a greater calling in the civil realm along side their squad mates as Vigilante Pirates. The Swashbucklers pride themselves on their ancestral history of being “The Bloodthirsty Birds” and “Branton’s Braggarts” as well as their maritime traditionalism that is part of their religion from the Navy still today.
The Swashbucklers abide by their own laws they call “The Code” that is often times considered lawless but they believe they stand on the moral high ground. Today the Swashbucklers believe in serving the citizens rather than the UEE, like their brothers in arms, but in their own capacity. They’re in it for the thrill, the kill, and most of all for the brotherhood!

“The Code”
1. Freedom Above All.
No crown, no flag, no master shall claim our will.
We are born free, and we sail free — answerable only to the sea and our own honor.
2. The Crew Is Sacred.
Every voice holds weight upon this deck.
In battle or bounty, all hands share equally in danger and reward.
3. Take What’s Yours — Earn What You Keep.
Plunder with courage, not cruelty.
We seize from tyrants and merchants fat with greed — never from the hungry or the broken.
4. Keep the Ship True.
A leaking hull sinks all aboard.
We mend our sails, keep our powder dry, and never let rot spread among us — be it wood or heart.
5. No Betrayal, No Quarter.
Loyalty binds us stronger than any rope.
Break faith with the crew, and the sea herself shall judge you.
6. Live Wild, Die Free.
We know no promise of heaven nor mercy of kings.
Our paradise is the horizon, and our legacy is the storm we leave behind.
7. The Code Is Law — When It Suits the Crew.
The Code lives in the hands of those who keep it.
It bends with the wind, but never breaks to serve a coward.
Charter
The Swashbucklers shall by order of the Commandant:
Provide offensive and defensive aerospace support, armed reconnaissance, and transport/logistics to the UEE Expeditionary Forces and contracted parties.
Render obedience to appropriate orders that may be given from time to time by Superiors acting in according to The Code governing the discipline of The Swashbucklers.
Conduct themselves in such a way as to not bring shame or dishonor to themselves or The Swashbucklers. The Swashbucklers are an elite fighting force and all members are to conduct themselves as professionals and specialists. Any member found to tarnish the squadrons name will be dishonorably discharged or keelhauled.
All Swashbucklers are to keep their vessels in combat ready condition. Any shortfall in maintenance that can affect the combat readiness of the squadron will be reported to your direct superior so as to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. The Swashbucklers must always be ready to mobilize at a moments notice.
