History
Founded in the late 2940s, Citadel Commerce Group [CCG] began as a loose collective of independent deep-space haulers operating along the dangerous, unmonitored shipping corridors of the Stanton system. Tired of falling prey to pirate interdictions and predatory outlaw syndicates, a small coalition of veteran pilots chose to weld their fortunes together.
Their objective was simple: build a freight network so heavily armored and fiercely defended that no pirate crew would ever dare compromise their manifests. They pooled their capital and commissioned their first fleet of pocket-battleship freighters, establishing a mobile, unyielding base of operations—a literal flying “Citadel” in the stars.
As trade margins soared, the enterprise rapidly modernized into a high-finance corporate conglomerate. To safeguard its expanding empire, the board established the Citadel Security Force, standardizing elite heavy fighter escorts for all major industrial runs. Shortly thereafter, the Vanguard Strike Infantry division was activated to forcefully secure hostile planetary landing zones and clear tactical corporate outposts face-to-face.
