The Drake Appreciation Club was founded after a group of highly intelligent, completely rational pilots came to a groundbreaking conclusion: Drake Interplanetary is perfect.
What started as a casual conversation in the depths of the verse quickly escalated into a full-blown movement when one pilot said, “Wait… why does everyone hate Drake when they literally make the best ships in existence?” From that moment on, there was no turning back.
In the early days, members gathered in hangars, cargo bays, and anywhere that didn’t immediately explode to discuss extremely important topics like why the Drake Herald is objectively the greatest ship ever created, why exposed wiring builds character, and why “bare minimum safety standards” is actually a design philosophy, not a flaw. It was during this time that the first and only doctrine was written: “We are not pirates. We are misunderstood Drake enthusiasts… and also, unapologetically, Drake simps.”
As time went on, the group evolved from casual admirers into full-blown Drake simps, and we proudly embraced it. Members began exclusively flying Drake ships, defending Drake in every argument across the verse, and confidently saying things like “It’s not cheap, it’s efficient,” “Shields are optional if you don’t get hit,” and “Luxury is overrated anyway.” If you ask us directly, yes, we are Drake simps, and no, we will not be elaborating further.
Some members have even reported feeling personally attacked when someone refers to Drake ships as “budget” or “unsafe,” which is obviously incorrect and borderline offensive.
Today, the Drake Appreciation Club operates as a highly organised (completely unorganised) collective of elite pilots whose mission is simple: fly Drake, love Drake, and defend Drake at all costs. Activities include spreading Drake propaganda across the system, convincing others that duct tape is a valid long-term repair solution, taking on contracts in ships that absolutely should not be used for those contracts, and arguing with Crusader and Origin pilots purely for sport.
We pride ourselves on our core values: loyalty to Drake at all times, durability (if it’s still flying, it’s fine), simplicity (if it works, don’t question it), and a completely reasonable belief that Drake is the best manufacturer in the verse, which is not an opinion, it is a fact.
We are not just a group. We are not just a club. We are a movement built on questionable engineering, unmatched vibes, and an unhealthy level of brand loyalty. Drake Interplanetary didn’t choose us… we chose Drake, and we’d do it again.
The Drake Appreciation Club exists for one simple reason: to recognise, defend, and celebrate the unmatched brilliance of Drake Interplanetary.
In a verse full of over-engineered luxury and unnecessary comfort, we stand for something different. We stand for ships that get the job done. Ships that don’t pretend to be anything they’re not. Ships built with purpose, character, and just enough structural integrity to make it interesting.
We believe that exposed wiring is honesty. That reinforced hull plates are optional. That speed, utility, and raw functionality will always outweigh polished interiors and overpriced branding.
We reject the idea that Drake is “cheap,” “unsafe,” or “questionable.” These claims are not only false, they are usually made by people who have never truly understood what Drake represents. Drake ships are not budget. They are efficient. They are not unsafe. They simply reward skilled pilots.
We openly acknowledge what others are too afraid to admit: we are Drake simps. Not quietly, not ironically, but proudly. Our loyalty is unwavering, our bias is undeniable, and our commitment to Drake Interplanetary borders on completely rational devotion.
Our mission is to fly Drake ships wherever possible, defend Drake in all conversations across the verse, and spread awareness of Drake’s superiority to those who have yet to see the truth. Whether through action, argument, or questionable decision-making, we will continue to represent Drake at all times.
We are not pirates. We are not reckless. We are not wrong.
We are the Drake Appreciation Club.
And we will always choose Drake.
All members of the Drake Appreciation Club are required to follow the rules set out below. These rules are clear, fair, and have been carefully considered to reflect the core values of the organisation.
Failure to comply will result in disappointment, judgement, and possible questioning of your loyalty to Drake Interplanetary.

100. If someone don’t love Drake, they are wrong and will be judged accordingly
