History

Where to start? That’s a difficult question. Conquest 247’s origins are shrouded in mystery. Some myth, some folklore with very few real facts to go on. There is such secrecy surrounding this group that it is very difficult to tell fact from fiction. No one from the present day can be identified directly. The founder members hover in the shadows, pulling the strings whilst maintaining a degree of anonymity.

What is known is that they started out in the early 21st Century, as a group of Western Europeans who banded together to fight oppression in the mass land battles that consumed their planet. Renowned for their camaraderie, it is rumoured that they dominated the Battlefield during the 3rd Era. With massive support and a fiercely loyal following; this was set to continue into the 4th Era, until the technology of the time sadly let them down.

Disillusionment appears to have rapidly spread amongst the group, which was commonplace with similar factions at the time. Rather that waste the little time they had left, they decided to go into cryostasis until the technology improved. Choosing the 36th Century as their preferred awakening time, they started their long sleep.

Rumour has it that a lone group member decided to stay out of the freezer and embezzled most of the groups funds to partake in habits that were common at the time. Another source quotes that a global corporation was responsible for draining the funds by continually releasing inferior quality software in which the group had invested heavily. My personal favourite is the first scenario, but there is probably some truth in both.

Unfortunately, the money they had invested to keep them on ice ran out in 2941. They were unceremoniously awakened and kicked out on to the streets.

Their friendship undimmed by the time in stasis, they swore to get their own back on any individuals or corporations linked to their past. Colloquially known as CQ247. They are now a growing faction that demand loyalty and greed from their membership.
