History

Dominus Aurora started in Lineage 2 in 2003. Prior to that many guild members played together in small groups in games like D2, Last Kingdom and a few other trashy korean games.
Our guild, and the way we recruit has not changed at all over time, and is primarily through personal referrals. Many of our players are friends or friends of friends. When we do open recruiting to randoms it is to make sure that we have the necessary players to accomplish goals in the game that we are playing.

DA has been top performers in Lineage 2, WoW (TBC), AoC and Aion. We love to trash talk and have fun, when it comes down to getting serious and killing enemies or downing bosses we know when to shut up and focus. Our player base is older with the average age being around 27. We have nearly 100 people in our Facebook group that have played with us over the years in the games listed above.

DA is not just a guild, it is a group of friends that has a good time drinking beer, talking trash, sports, knife fights and memes. Once you are in DA you probably won’t leave. Keep in mind it is not for the faint of heart or people easily offended, we are a group of “A” type personalities who can dish it out as well as take it.

The leadership is identical since 2003 and consists of Exey, Rifter (on hiatus), and Deo

Charter

Dominus Aurora Constitution

Upon being accepted as a member or initiate of the guild Dominus Aurora I hereby agree and understand all of the following sections and rules.

Section One: PvP Leaders

  1. Dominus Aurora is a PvP oriented guild, and as such all guild members, initiates, dreadlords, and council members are subjected to this rule. If we, as a guild, are under attack you are required to stop doing whatever you’re doing and participate in the guild warband. People who don’t comply with this rule will suffer one strike (See: Section five).
  2. All strategies and orders given by a PvP leader will be followed.
  3. Group make up in the guild warband is subject to the will of the PvP Leader.
  4. Giving strategies or suggestions over Mumble (or Ventrilo) consistently contrary to what the PvP leader has issued will earn that member one strike.
  5. If a member or initiate is found not participating in the PvP Leader’s strategy and that member or initiate is part of the Guild warband, that member or initiate will earn one strike.
  6. If a member feels they would be beneficial to the guild and perform well as a PvP leader, write a post on the guild forums saying why you believe you would make a good PvP Leader.
    • This is an application process, and after your formalized statement, both council members and current PvP leaders will evaluate your performance.
    • Being a PvP leader is strictly by voluntary basis.
    • A PvP leader can be removed from command by a majority vote by the council.

Section Two: PvE Groups

  1. All current and past PvE groups are up for examination by the council at any time. If deemed necessary the council upholds the right to change, disband, or edit any group going into any PvE instance so long as it hinders no guild member or initiate’s rights.
  2. All groups for PvE content will be set up through the guild forums.
  3. If a member or initiate has signed up for a group yet has failed to show, that member or initiate will earn one strike; however, if it is known that member or initiate is unable to attend, yet is unable to remove him- or herself from the sign-up, said member or initiate is not subjected to the strike.
  4. If a member or initiate is part of a PvE group and has failed to show up to an agreed upon time, that member or initiate will earn one strike.

Section Three: Guild Loot

  1. All loot found within a PvE instance that is bind on equip will be placed in the guild vault, or mailed to a council member; however, if someone in the group that found the loot can and will equip the item (as an upgrade), said item isn’t required to be placed in the guild vault.
  2. If a member or initiate is found to have violated the above rule, that member or initiate will earn one strike.

Section Four: Guild Relations

  1. No member or initiate will disrespect or insult a fellow guild mate. This is a serious offence and will earn the violator two strikes.
  2. If a member or initiate has a problem with a fellow guild mate, this issue is not to be resolved publically. A member or initiate who feels the need to address these problems have the option to:
    • Send a council member in-game mail.
    • Talk to the member or initiate in private chat. This is not to be resolved in Ventrilo in a public channel.
    • Giving the guild a bad image (e.g. talking badly about a fellow alliance member, or talking excessive trash in regional chat) will not be tolerated. This will earn the member or initiate one strike.

Section Five: Strike System

  1. Three strikes (See: All sections), and you’re kicked out of the guild.
  2. Mundane strikes (e.g. Warband violations) will fade over time. One strike will fade every fortnight.
  3. Initiates are not full members, ergo, do not have full strikes. Initiates only have two strikes in total.
  4. Severe actions toward the guild can and will get you removed from the guild roster by a majority vote from the council.

Section Six: Guild Advancement

  1. Initiates will be granted member status after a fortnight of active playing and after receiving recommendations from their fellow guild mates.
  2. A member can become a PvP Leader by applying and being accepted into the position.
  3. A member can become a council member by a 2/3 vote from the council.

Section Seven: Amendments

  1. Members of the council reserve the right to amend this constitution by a majority vote.
