In the early 21st century, dataDyne was a well known corporation on planet Earth, specialized in military, research and commercial production for its contractors. The headquarters were located in Chicago. After the infiltration of dataDyne by the Carrington Institute Special Agent Joanna Dark in the year 2023 and illegal accustions thereafter led to the killing of the former CEO Cassandra De Vries and the official destruction of the Corporation.

Little is known how dataDyne remained active doing business in the private military sector and where the technology and money was coming from. Rumor has it that dataDyne was hiding alien technology. Not much was known back then, but according to an internal document it seems that most of the tech was Maian in origin.

The Maians were a peaceful alien race with a deep interest in the universe and exploration of space for knowledge and science. The unspeakable conspiracy by the Carrington Institute to hide all aliens was no successful. As dataDyne back in the year 2242 as one of the first human corporations entered the Maian system, we helped to human species to conquer space through Maian technology.

Our alliance with the Maian was brought to an end by the destruction of the Maian system by the Vanduul in the year 2544. This have been different ever since. In the last few decades, apart from research, we subspecialized in infiltration of organisations and corporate espionage. No organisation is safe. No organisation, corporation, syndcate what ever can resist our methods of infiltration. This led to a substantial lead in the information trade war and dataDyne ist currently on the top of it.
