Story of our founders

On the dawn of the new year 2737, the 6th battle group in Tiber fell. The Vanduul Kingship and its clan entered the Virgil system, heading straight for the planet Cyrene. It landed its forces at the city of Kastak, killing all in their way. The remaining forces of the 81st Battle Group from the Orion-Tiber jump point attack held off as many Vanduul as they could, But- It wasn’t enough. The Kingship entered the atmosphere above Kastak, turning the sun black. Casting its shadow over the city and sending Raiding parties down onto the hundreds of thousands of humans.

Our founders from Squadron 214 escorted civilian transports out of the system to safety through the Vega jump point. As the last of the transports made it to safety, the rest of 214 decided to head back to rescue whom they could. They completed a few more runs before the Vanduuls became overbearing on their efforts. A few pilots from 214 barely made it back, landing on the outskirts of the city. Unfortunately, their fighters were too far gone for repairs. They had only one choice. Survive. These few had to scavenge for supplies, all the while staying hidden from Vanduul patrols and brutally killing the alien scum they came across. They avenged those who had fallen the only way they felt was right. Blood for blood. Within the weeks of them being stranded, they eventually found a downed Vanduul transport. With a bit of tweaking, they got it up and running, eventually escaping back to the jump point to safety. But- a new objective became clear. They did not want to go back to the UEE. They wanted more Vanduul blood. Our founders became mercenaries, doing jobs and hits to whoever’s pockets were the deepest. So they could hit back at the Vaduul with the best weapons and ships. They became known as Black Sun Company.
