The Dodeka Authority traces its origin to the 12th Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) of the UEE Navy, a formation known for rapid-response operations, interdiction, and fleet-level search and recovery during high-attrition campaigns. Where other squadrons held lines, the 12th was deployed where situations were already lost… or assumed to be.
Over time, the 12th DESRON developed a reputation for operating beyond standard doctrine. Rescue missions conducted under fire. Recoveries executed in collapsing combat zones. Escorts that held long after support had withdrawn. Their crews were a blend of naval officers, former law enforcement, emergency responders, and hardened spacers… people accustomed to acting decisively when structure failed.
During a prolonged campaign that strained UEE resources, the 12th was officially decommissioned as part of a broader naval restructuring. Assets were reassigned. Command authority dissolved. The squadron’s operational charter ended on paper.
In reality, the unit never truly disbanded.
Bound by shared experience rather than contracts, former members of the 12th regrouped independently. Without the constraints of fleet politics, they retained their discipline, rank structure, and operational standards, choosing to continue their mission as a freelance authority force operating in defense, intervention, and rapid search-and-rescue.
Thus, ΔΩΔΕΚΑ ΕΞΟΥΣΙΑ was born “Dodeka Authority” a name chosen to reflect both their origin and their evolution. No longer a numbered asset of the Navy, but an autonomous force guided by its principles.
The Authority operates fast, decisively, and without hesitation. Their ships bear red markings as a warning and a promise. Their armor is marked not for show, but as a symbol of survival, of having gone into the fire and returned.
They do not seek contracts for glory.
They do not wait for permission when lives are on the line.
They intervene. They recover. They hold the line.
Their creed, carried forward from the ashes of the 12th, is simple:
“From the ashes we rise.”
Not as relics of a forgotten squadron, but as something forged stronger in its absence.
