The Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild serves where others cannot, bringing balance and security to the lawless regions of space. We are independent, resolute, and committed to defending the frontier.
The Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild (FBHG) traces its roots back to the volatile frontier regions of the United Empire of Earth (UEE). Founded in the latter half of the 29th century, the guild emerged as a response to the increasing chaos that plagued the newly settled systems along the fringes of human space. With the discovery of jump points and new territories, opportunistic outlaws found their way to the unsettled planets, causing havoc among the vulnerable settlers. The need for a united front to maintain law and order was greater than ever. In response, a group of independent bounty hunters came together to form the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild.
Unlike the more established and bureaucratic Advocacy or other government agencies, FBHG was born out of necessity and built on a creed of independence. The Guild’s early members were composed of ex-military personnel, former pirates turned rogue hunters, and rugged pioneers who had an affinity for law enforcement but preferred to operate outside the regulations of the UEE. Their primary mission was to bring justice to those who thought the lawless frontier was a safe haven—by any means necessary.
During the Messer Era, the Guild’s reputation grew as the Advocacy, heavily influenced by the Imperator’s oppressive policies, struggled to maintain peace across distant worlds. As an unaffiliated group, the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild operated with a flexibility that allowed them to skirt the political red tape of the Advocacy. The Guild operated under a strict code, only taking contracts that aligned with their values of true justice, offering some semblance of protection to settlers and traders who had no other options.
Over time, FBHG developed into a well-organized entity, with its own hierarchy and code of honor. The Guild’s symbol—a stylized helmet with crossed laser rifles and a glowing star—became synonymous with the defenders of the wild frontier. The Guild’s motto, “Justice at the Edge,” reflected its members’ unwavering commitment to facing the dangers lurking in the unexplored systems. Membership was exclusive and not for the faint-hearted; only those who proved themselves capable of handling the vastness of space, the brutality of criminals, and the ethical complexities of bounty work were granted entry.
With the fall of the Messer regime, the Guild maintained its independence and earned respect across the UEE as a neutral enforcer of justice. Their non-political stance allowed them to transition smoothly into the more democratic era that followed. They became known for their efficiency, discretion, and effectiveness, gaining a reputation that attracted contracts not only from private settlers but also corporations and, occasionally, the Advocacy itself.
In modern times, the Guild remains an important player along the frontier, often engaging with the mysterious and dangerous Vanduul incursions that plague the outer systems. They have also adapted to the ever-evolving threats posed by pirate syndicates and unscrupulous mercenary bands. Despite the growing influence of megacorporations and their private security forces, the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild continues to be a symbol of rugged independence and justice that refuses to be bought or compromised.
The Guild’s headquarters are located on a mobile platform, always moving across the fringe systems, evading threats, and staying close to where they are most needed. This nomadic existence embodies the Guild’s philosophy: to be ever vigilant, ready to answer the call of justice at the edge of civilization. Their members, marked by the iconic insignia, are a welcome sight for those seeking protection, and a dreaded vision for those who would exploit the frontier’s lawlessness.
**The Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild Manifesto
We, the members of the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild, stand as guardians of justice where no others dare tread. We are the protectors of the forgotten, the defenders of those who call the edge of known space their home. In an ever-expanding universe where lawlessness takes root in the shadows, we pledge ourselves to the pursuit of justice, with independence as our guide and honor as our creed.
To bring balance to the frontier by enforcing justice where it is needed most. We do not serve the interests of power, profit, or politics; we serve the people, upholding a law that respects the rights and lives of those striving to survive beyond the boundaries of civilized space. We will pursue those who prey upon the weak, those who believe they can evade consequence in the chaos of the frontier.
Justice Above All: We pursue bounties in the name of justice, not for personal gain or vendetta. Our contracts are undertaken with the intent to protect and restore balance.
Independence and Honor: We remain independent from all political powers and factions. Our loyalty is to the Guild and to the cause of true justice, not to the whims of those who seek to manipulate us.
Respect for Life: While we are hunters, we do not revel in violence. We value life and always aim to resolve conflicts with the least amount of harm necessary. Deadly force is a last resort, never the first.
No Innocents Shall Suffer: Collateral damage and harm to innocents are unacceptable. A bounty hunter of the Guild must exercise caution and precision in every mission.
The Code is Our Bond: Each member of the Guild swears an oath to uphold the Guild’s code. We are bound by our word, and any betrayal of this code is a betrayal of the Guild itself.
Courage: We face the dangers that others cannot. From the ruthless outlaws to the alien threat of the Vanduul, we stand unflinching in the face of danger.
Integrity: We are transparent in our actions and decisions. Our integrity is our shield against corruption, and we will not bend to greed or coercion.
Unity in Diversity: The Guild is composed of individuals from all walks of life. Former soldiers, ex-pirates, settlers, and idealists alike—all are welcome, so long as they honor the code and uphold our values. We draw strength from our differences and stand united against those who threaten the frontier.
We swear to uphold the values of the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild, to be ever vigilant, and to act without hesitation in the pursuit of justice. We will protect those who cannot protect themselves and bring to justice those who think they can escape it.
We envision a frontier where settlers can live without fear, where trade flows without the threat of piracy, and where justice reaches even the most distant corners of human space. A universe where no one is beyond accountability, and no innocent is without hope.
We are the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild—free, honorable, and resolute. We answer to no government, bow to no corporation, and refuse to be silenced by fear or greed. The frontier is our home, and we will see that justice is served.
The organization shall be known as the Frontier Bounty Hunter Guild (FBHG). Our purpose is to uphold justice in the frontier regions of the United Empire of Earth (UEE), provide security to settlers, and combat lawlessness in areas beyond conventional law enforcement reach. The Guild stands as an independent entity, committed to maintaining a sense of order where chaos would otherwise prevail.
