The verse is ruled by chaos.
We do not seek glory. We seek advantage. We seek profit.
We do not fight the storm, we ride it, strip it for parts, and sell the pieces.
From the frozen underbelly of microTech, we emerged.
In the black between stars, we forged our empire.
We forge the verse.

History

The Frostveil Syndicate was never formally founded: it emerged from the frozen ashes of betrayal and collapse. In 2914, Boreas Vexar was born beneath the dancing auroras of microTech, in the shadowed underlevels of New Babbage. His father engineered rugged sub-zero cooling rigs for microTech’s most demanding quantum hardware. His mother designed the encrypted data lattices that wove the planet’s corporate networks together.
From them, Boreas inherited an instinctive mastery of cold tech and invisible information flows. By the age of ten he could blind-hack military grade exosuit HUDs in under three minutes. The underworld of New Babbage quickly noticed the prodigy they called “the North Wind’s Son.”

Then came the Collapse of 2933. A brutal internal power struggle and cascading sabotage within microTech’s leadership triggered a domino effect. Entire research campuses went dark. Black ice security protocols turned lethal. Thousands lost everything overnight as contracts vanished and automated defense grids fired on their own personnel. Boreas, barely nineteen, watched his parents’ workshop raided and sealed by corporate enforcers. In the chaos, he seized a battered C1 Spirit freighter that had been slated for scrap, loaded it with whatever prototype components and data cores he could salvage, and fled microTech under false transponder codes.

For the next several years he drifted through the Stanton system and beyond, running small salvage ops, moving hot neural tech, and staying one step ahead of bounty hunters and corporate retrieval teams. He learned that chaos wasn’t a disaster: it was a marketplace.
In 2941, Boreas discovered the abandoned outpost later known as Frostbite, a forgotten independent settlement buried deep in microTech’s snowy wilderness. He turned the half-buried domes and old cooling caverns into his private lair, a cryo-forged sanctuary where temperatures never rise above freezing and every wall hums with custom quantum relays.

From Frostbite he began calling in old underworld contacts, disillusioned microTech engineers, ex-military pilots, and fellow scavengers who shared his philosophy: never fight the storm, strip it for parts.
What started as a loose network of runners and fences slowly crystallized into the Frostveil Syndicate. By 2950 the name carried weight in certain circles. Today the Syndicate operates as a decentralized shadow corporation: part elite salvage collective, part high-end black tech broker, part opportunistic strike force.
Its trade arm deals openly in New Babbage, where rare armor, collectibles and recovered gear change hands through the Syndicate’s marketplace on UEX: https://uexcorp.space/@Boreas_Vexar
We do not claim territory. We do not wave banners.
We move through the veil of chaos like cold wind, unseen until the moment we claim what others can no longer protect.

Manifesto

the verse is not kind. it is not fair. it is a perpetual storm of ambition, betrayal and entropy.

Where others see disaster, we see harvest. We were born in ice beneath the auroras of microTech, forged in the Collapse of 2933, and from that moment the Frostveil was inevitable.

we do not fight the chaos. we do not curse the storm.
we move through it like the north wind, silent, cutting and unseen until it is too late.

We believe in three immutable laws:

tech is power.

In a galaxy ruled by governments and megacorps, whoever controls the most advanced hardware, the cleanest code, and the sharpest neural link holds the only real freedom. We hoard, reverse-engineer, and perfect what others fear to touch.

information is currency.

While others trade commodities, we trade secrets, sensor ghosts, encrypted manifests, and the locations of forgotten wrecks.
Knowledge harvested from the edge of death is our greatest asset.

risk is opportunity.

Every corporate collapse, every pirate raid, every derelict drifting in a radiation field, these are not tragedies. They are markets waiting to be claimed. We profit where others perish. We are not heroes. We are not villains. We are survivors who chose to become predators of entropy itself.

We do not claim systems or plant flags. We do not kneel to the UEE, the Xi’an, or any banner. Our only allegiance is to the cold truth of the verse and to those who stand with us beneath the Veil. From our hidden sanctuary of Frostbite, we launch operations that others call suicidal. We walk forbidden salvage fields, breach ancient alien vaults, and extract prototype technology from the jaws of destruction. Every piece we recover is another layer of armor between us and a universe that wants us dead.

other people have a life, we forge the verse.

If you understand that survival is not enough, that excellence demands risk, that mastery demands obsession, then the Veil is already lifting for you.

Welcome to the Frostveil Syndicate.
Bring skill. Bring nerve.
Leave your illusions behind.

Charter

“we do not conquer the storm. we become it.”

Born from the frozen betrayal of microTech’s Collapse of 2933, the Frostveil Syndicate exists as a sovereign shadow network in a galaxy dominated by fragile empires and greedy corporations.
We reject blind loyalty to any flag, creed, or authority.
Our only masters are cold logic, superior technology, and the unrelenting pursuit of advantage.

This Charter serves as the unbreakable framework that binds all members.
It is not a list of pleasant ideals: it is the operating system of our survival and prosperity.

core tenets

1. tech is sovereignty

Every member shall pursue technological superiority as their highest duty. We acquire, protect, reverse-engineer and improve technology others deem too dangerous or illegal. Hoarding knowledge that could benefit the Syndicate is considered betrayal.

2. chaos is currency

We do not create unnecessary conflict, but we never waste opportunities born from it. Salvage, intelligence, artifacts and prototypes harvested from war zones, derelicts and forbidden space form the lifeblood of the Syndicate.

3. the syndicate is sacred

Operational security is absolute. Identities, base locations (especially Frostbite) and advanced technologies must be protected at all costs. Breaching the Syndicate through carelessness or malice is the gravest offense.

4. merit above all

Rank, respect and reward are earned through skill, results and loyalty, never through politics or seniority alone.
A brilliant salvager holds more weight than a mediocre officer.

5. profit with purpose

Wealth is not the goal, it is the fuel.
We profit so we may remain independent, better equipped and free from any external master.

membership

entry

Prospective members (“Chill”) must be sponsored by a full member (“Cryo” or higher) or approved directly by Boreas, and pass a vetting process that includes technical evaluation, background screening and a probationary operation.

full membership

Granted after successful completion of probation. Members receive access to Syndicate networks, shared intelligence and profit distribution.

leaving the syndicate

Members may depart honorably with a 60-day notice. They retain no claim to Syndicate assets, intelligence, or ongoing operations. Revealing secrets after departure will be met with lethal response.

organizational structure

Shadow Legend – Boreas Vexar (Founder & final authority)

Shadow – Senior leadership council (strategy, major operations, tech direction)

Frosted – Elite operators

Cryo – Full trusted members

Chill – Probationary members

Echo – Trusted external contacts and inactive reserves

code of conduct

  • Never compromise another member or the Syndicate for personal gain.
  • Share critical intelligence and technological discoveries with the Syndicate.
  • Maintain operational discipline, no unnecessary risks that endanger the Syndicate.
  • Treat allies with professionalism; treat enemies without mercy when necessary.
  • Profiteering from Syndicate operations is encouraged, provided it does not conflict with group objectives.
  • Internal conflicts must be resolved privately or brought before a Shadow. Duels or violent internal disputes are forbidden without approval.

operations & profit

All major operations require approval from a Shadow or Boreas.
Profits from Syndicate sanctioned runs are divided as follows:

  • 80% to the operational crew equally
  • 10% to the Syndicate’s central vault (for maintenance and operational costs)
  • 10% to the emergency discretionary fund (controlled by Shadows and Boreas)

Independent (“solo”) runs using personal assets are fully owned by the member, but Syndicate resources (intelligence, safe harbors, advanced gear) require a negotiated cut.

discipline & enforcement

Violations of the Charter are judged by the Shadows, with final say belonging to Boreas.
Punishments range from:

  • Loss of profit share
  • Demotion
  • Expulsion
  • In extreme cases of betrayal (selling out the Syndicate or members): “Frost Protocol”; permanent and terminal response.

final oath

“I enter the Syndicate freely.
I accept the cold truth of the verse.
Tech is my blade, risk my ally, silence my shield.
I will forge the verse, or die in the attempt.
From ice I came. In shadow I serve. In profit I trust.”

By joining the Frostveil Syndicate, you acknowledge this Charter as binding. There are no spectators here. Only those willing to thrive in the storm.
