We, the Ghosts of Pyro, bound by blood, honor, and ambition, do hereby establish this Charter to govern our actions, define our purpose, and affirm our commitment to each other and our cause. We are a brotherhood and sisterhood forged in the fires of rebellion, bound by the need for survival, the desire for profit, and the code of our ancestors. Our legacy is one of freedom, power, and defiance.
Our creed is simple: For the right price, we protect. For the wrong price, we take.
As the Ghosts of Pyro, we reject the false promises of empires and the oppressive rule of corporate greed. We are mercenaries, pirates, and protectors, all in one—striking when necessary and guarding when paid to do so.
The purpose of the Ghosts of Pyro is to:
1. Defend and Protect: For those who can afford us, we provide protection from the harsh realities of the galaxy—whether it be from hostile factions, dangerous space routes, or treacherous enemies.
2. Take and Raid: When our protection is not requested, we raid, plunder, and smuggle, taking what we need to survive and grow stronger. We shall target those who profit at the expense of others—corporations, governments, or criminal syndicates—and redistribute the spoils as we see fit.
3. Maintain Honor Among Us: We are a family, and our loyalty to each other is paramount. Betrayal will be punished, and loyalty will be rewarded.
4. Remain Unseen and Untouchable: We operate in the shadows, out of reach of the law and the prying eyes of our enemies. We are the phantoms of the stars, and we will remain hidden until we choose to strike.
Eligibility: Any individual, regardless of their background, may seek membership in the Ghosts of Pyro, provided they have proven their worth in combat, intelligence, or other essential skills to the organization’s survival and success.
The Initiation: To join the Ghosts of Pyro, a new recruit must undergo an initiation process. This includes proving themselves in a mission assigned by the leadership. Only those who return from the mission with honor and without betrayal may call themselves true Ghosts.
Ranks and Titles:
1. The Captain – The supreme leader of the Ghosts of Pyro. The Captain makes all major decisions, leads the organization in its pursuits, and is responsible for the overall direction of the Ghosts.
2. Lieutenants – Senior members who oversee larger operations and command multiple teams. They act as the right hand of the Captain, executing high-level strategies and managing the organization’s day-to-day missions.
3. Phantoms – Experienced members who have earned the respect of their peers. Phantoms are reliable operatives entrusted with high-value missions and are expected to lead smaller groups of Wraiths or Recruits.
4. Specters – Mid-ranking members who have completed more significant missions. They are skilled in combat, strategy, and sabotage, and often take on leadership roles for smaller teams.
5. Wraiths – Junior operatives who have proven their loyalty and skill in smaller missions. Wraiths are still learning but are trusted with basic tasks and assignments.
6. Recruits – New members who have not yet proven themselves. They are in the early stages of their initiation into the organization.
Loyalty and Duty: All members must swear an oath of loyalty to the Ghosts of Pyro and to the Captain. Those who fail to uphold the Code of the Ghosts will be expelled and hunted if necessary. The bond between the Ghosts is sacred, and we fight for the survival and prosperity of our own.
The Ghost’s Code:
Respect for the Code: All actions taken by members must adhere to the Code of the Ghosts. While we may walk the path of pirates, mercenaries, and outlaws, we do not engage in mindless slaughter or dishonorable acts.
No Innocents: We do not harm those who are not part of the conflict. Civilians, innocents, and the defenseless are off-limits. Only those who have earned our wrath will feel the sting of our blade.
Honor in Battle: Whether defending or raiding, we fight with respect for our enemies, acknowledging their strength when deserved. But we do not spare those who stand in our way.
Protection Above All: When hired to protect, we will stop at nothing to safeguard our clients—whether it’s guarding precious cargo, high-profile targets, or delivering vengeance on those who threaten them.
Dealing with Betrayal:
Betrayal is Death: Anyone found guilty of betrayal, leaking secrets, or working against the Ghosts will face immediate punishment—expulsion or death, depending on the severity of the offense.
Justice for the Wronged: The Ghosts take care of their own. If a member is wronged, the whole organization stands behind them, and we will exact justice. One does not cross the Ghosts without consequence.
Profits and Spoils:
Fair Distribution: Profits from raids, smuggling, or mercenary jobs will be divided equally among the members, with a larger share allocated to the higher ranks to reflect their leadership. However, no one is guaranteed wealth—they must prove their worth in battle, stealth, or negotiations.
The Captain’s Share: The Captain holds final say on the distribution of spoils and profits. A portion of the earnings will go to maintaining the fleet, securing supplies, and preparing for future operations.
The Reapers:
The Ghosts of Pyro operate a fleet of stealth ships known as the Reapers, which are equipped with advanced cloaking technology, state-of-the-art weaponry, and rapid maneuver capabilities. These ships are used for piracy, smuggling, and protection assignments.
Each ship is led by a captain chosen for their expertise in combat, strategy, and leadership. The fleet operates under a strict hierarchy, with each ship working in unison to carry out the Ghosts’ missions.
Fleet Loyalty: The fleet’s success depends on the loyalty of every crew member. Disrespect for the ship, the Captain, or the Ghosts’ cause will not be tolerated. Ships are to be maintained in peak condition, as they are both the weapon and the sanctuary of the Ghosts.
Reaching Beyond Pyro: While the Pyro system remains our heart, our reach extends far beyond. We will continue to expand our influence across the galaxy, forging new alliances, taking on new missions, and increasing our wealth and power.
The Ghosts Will Rise: Wherever there is opportunity, the Ghosts of Pyro will be present. We will seize power where it is offered and protect those who can pay. Our name will be synonymous with both fear and respect.
The End of the Ghosts: The Ghosts of Pyro shall not dissolve by the will of any one person. Only through a combined effort and overwhelming force can our organization be brought to an end. Should the Captain or any member break the Code and threaten the existence of the Ghosts, the members will rise up to restore the honor and legacy of our cause.
In Witness Whereof, we, the members of the Ghosts of Pyro, do hereby solemnly affirm our loyalty to this Charter and to each other. We swear to honor the Code, fight for the freedom of our people, and carry the name of the Ghosts of Pyro through the stars, leaving our mark on the galaxy for as long as we exist.
