BLACKSTAR VANGUARD

The Blackstar Vanguard follows a military-inspired rank structure adapted for the vast and dangerous environment of the Star Citizen universe. Each rank represents a member’s experience, authority, and responsibilities within GO CAT — Galactic Organization for Commerce, Acquisition & Trade, from newly enlisted personnel to senior fleet commanders.

Rank 0 — Recruit

Newly enlisted members of the Blackstar Vanguard. Recruits learn GO CAT procedures, ship operations, communications, and the fundamentals of operating within a coordinated fleet.

Rank 1 — Private

Fully active Vanguard personnel trusted to participate in standard operations throughout the Stanton, Pyro, and other known systems. Privates may serve aboard cargo ships, escorts, mining vessels, exploration craft, or support crews.

Rank 2 — Corporal

Experienced personnel capable of leading small teams and taking responsibility for specific tasks during fleet operations. Corporals may oversee cargo crews, security details, flight groups, or specialized assignments.

Rank 3 — Sergeant

Senior enlisted personnel responsible for squad-level leadership and field coordination. Sergeants organize crews, maintain operational discipline, assist with training, and lead missions across the expanding Star Citizen universe.

Rank 4 — Lieutenant

Commissioned officers responsible for commanding multiple crews or vessels during larger operations. Lieutenants coordinate logistics, escorts, reconnaissance, security, and other strategic assignments on behalf of GO CAT.

Rank 5 — Captain

The highest operational rank within the Blackstar Vanguard. Captains command major fleet deployments, oversee large-scale operations, coordinate multiple units, and make critical decisions that support the interests and objectives of GO CAT across the stars.
