Howlers

Howlers are not casual players and have fun improving, helping others improve, and winning. Whether you’re a dogfighter, FPS, Multicrew or a fleet tactician, Howlers are respected not just for what they do, but how they do it: as mentors, instructors, and battlefield leaders. Howlers have no leadership or command responsibilities unless advancing further and can focus on getting good in their specialization. But we’re here to both push ourselves and build each other up.

Specializations

Warlocks: are our single and double seater fighter and support pilots
Moonbreakers: are our multicrew pilots and crew (dropships, gunships, capitals)
Helldivers: are our FPS operators

What we look for

Howlers are a small tightly knit group that above all works as a team to complete objectives in the PU and win. You can be the best pilot in the game but if you can’t work effectively with others then it won’t be a good fit. We also don’t care what you have in your fleet, we will help you get any ships that you need to fill your role through any patch wipes.

• Being active in voice channels
• Good comms discipline
• Joining us in AC, PU, and scrims
• Playing PUGs
• Not a current member of any other PvP organization
• The right mindset to train to a competitive level
• You put the team first
• Competitive but not rude about it, gfs in chats, and realize that real life comes first

Becoming a Howler is not easy. The application process takes months, and is based on performance, consistency, and team fit. There are both hard mechanical and soft teamwork skill checks. Practice of nearly all skills are done in Arena Commander. If you will not regularly play Arena Commander to practice Howlers is not for you.

Applying to Howlers

To apply to Howlers join the Ares discord and you can fill out the following application. If you are not highly active practicing with us for the first two weeks following the application you likely will not get a response which means we have not accepted the application.

Howlers Application Form

If the application is accepted, you will gain the Probatus role on discord for at least one month and gain access to additional training resources. Acceptance of this application does not guarantee you will be accepted into howlers after the Probatus period which may be longer than the minimum. Acceptance happens only after sufficient training progress is made, tests are passed, and it is clear you can play as part of a high performing team.
