HAWKEyE
It’s an acronym for
Humanity’s Assertive Watch for Knowledge thru Enemy Engagement.
We vet sentient xeno beings, human gangs and corrupt officials. We operate discretely as a hub to support everyday humans who investigate what the imperial government doesn’t, but should.
History
Date: 2947, July
The idea for this semi-clandestine organization is conceived, but it wouldn’t be registered on Spectrum until 2949.07.09. As the foundation was being set in later years so was the funding. The bulk came from a philanthropist in the Core Bank’s Chairman’s Club. The remaining backing came from hydroponics farming on outpost in Castra Sys.
295? HAWKEyE is finally able to purchase its own ship; a hangar in Sherman, CasCom, Castra Sys. and land claims. The 2960s look bright.
Manifesto
This organization was originally intended as a source of stories for machinima making. However, since the scope of the game has changed so much, the use of this organization for base building and the general industrial spectrum can’t go overlooked. If you have an interest in machinima production, please let me know.
We are an independent building contractor. At least that is what we appear to be to xeno species. The reality is that we use the business of building and crafting as a front. It’s our way of getting up close and personal to any potential xeno threat that humanity may face. It’s important to note that the word “humanity” is used instead of “UEE”. This is because we don’t trust the tevarin with citizenship any more than we trust any other non-human sentient being.
It’s not just xenophobia. We don’t take kindly to government corruption nor gangs & pirates either. All are subject to investigation.
We aren’t bad people, nor do we have a human-first agenda. We just do what needs to be done and in the manner it needs to be done, for the sake of the UEE, but more so for humankind.
As Machiavelli said:
“The ends justifies the means.”
We are watchdogs and truth seekers, just as much as we are builders and therefore hope to have a hand in solving some of the mysteries of the galaxy.
The above is background lore. Our in-game reality is that we are members of the United Resource Workers guild an outpost building organization and expect to do a lot of refining and repair. There may be some crafting of components too. To get this done we hope to network with other builders.
Our Castra outpost is planned to be central to 3 others.
If you think it would be fun to roam around the edges of the universe, dig deep into mystery, and plan on playing out the narrative investigation missions as a fun way to finance your own venture, your enthusiasm is met with a high five.
