The United Earth Health Organisation is a specialised organisation that is concerned with the public health of universe. Our mission is to explore the universe and safeguard the health of Star Citizens by delivering aid. To help those who are helpless. Join us so that others may live!
The ‘United Earth Health Organisation’, otherwise known as UEHO (pronounced ‘‘ew-ho’‘) and by spectrum identifier HEALTH, was founded in 2795 based on the principles of our predecessor the ‘World Health Organisation (WHO)’. This is an organisation led by health care professionals aimed at delivering the highest level of medical care and humanitarian aid in the universe.
We are in the process of acquiring a Hope-Class Endeavor to be used as a floating hospital for our base of operations throughout the universe. Our first ship will be so-named the UEHO Hospital Ship of Mercy.
The United Earth Health Organisation (UEHO) has been tasked with a mission to ensure the preservation of life above everything else. We will explore and journey into the far reaches of space to bring health care where it is needed. Our goal is to seek out and receive the sick and offer aid where it can be rendered. Our scope of practice includes humanitarian aid to contracted paramilitary health support to interplanetary medical transport and retrievals.
We are a not-for-profit organisation. We do ask those who can afford our services to pay a standardised fee; for those who cannot afford healthcare, there will be no charge. We will ensure the best medical care for all our patients regardless of their creed, background or social standing; we hold no prejudices; aid will be rendered to all who need it.
Our organisation is comprised of healthcare professionals from various specialties and fields; including doctors, nurses, paramedics, and allied health. We will offer a variety of health services including, primary health care, medical supplies and acquisitions, emergency and intensive care medicine, ambulance and retrieval services, acute and elective surgical procedures, and rehabilitation.
Our Hope-class Endeavor will be named the UEHO Hospital Ship of Mercy and feature state-of-the-art medical equipment, an intensive care unit, surgical theatres, hospital wards, in addition to living and rehabilitation spaces. The Endeavor will also allow modular fittings of spacecraft docks that will be added on a mission relevant basis. Our ship will also be the pioneer for space medical research; just as we are at the frontier of space exploration, we will be the pioneers in health care.
In keeping with the Geneva Conventions and our mission for the preservation of life and providing aid, personnel of the UEHO are considered non-combatants. Our ship will not carry heavy armaments and we do not directly partake in combat. Nevertheless the universe can be an unknown and dangerous place, and the safety of our patients and crew is one of our most paramount concerns. On a mission relevant basis, we may have security forces serving as escorts, or may be tasked to serve as part of larger military or paramilitary fleet.
