History

History of Hekaton Private Security (HPS)

Founded: 2924
Headquarters: Magnus System

Hekaton Private Security began as a small, under-equipped escort outfit formed by a group of former UEE Navy and Advocacy veterans disillusioned with the slow response times and bureaucratic gridlock of Imperial security forces. The group—originally known as Hekaton Tactical Solutions—operated out of dusty hangars on Borea in the Magnus System, a region long known for its gritty independence and thriving industrial culture.

Early Years (2924–2932): The Magnus Contracts

Initially, HPS specialized in simple freight escort, anti-piracy sweeps, and distress-response patrols along the Magnus–Stanton shipping lane. Their willingness to take contracts that the larger PMCs ignored earned them a local reputation as reliable, aggressive, and—above all—fast.
When pirate activity spiked near the GravNor Belt, HPS distinguished themselves by deploying small, high-mobility teams capable of intercepting raids before they escalated. Their success forged early alliances with merchants out of Borea and several mid-tier Stanton megacorps seeking third-party protection.

Expansion & Reorganization (2933–2941): Formalization of Forces

As demand grew, the company rebranded as Hekaton Private Security. They added a wider range of services, including:

Capital ship escort operations

Ground-side VIP protection and extraction

Contracted anti-piracy suppression

Remote security for frontier outposts and research facilities

During this era, HPS began recruiting heavily from discharged UEE servicemembers—particularly pilots of the 88th Test Squadron—bringing advanced strategic doctrine and flight discipline to their operations. This infusion of military expertise shaped the modern HPS command structure, giving it a hybrid civilian-military approach that clients valued.

War on the Fringe (2942–2950): The Outer Systems Push

With conflict increasing in fringe systems and outlaw factions growing more brazen, HPS expanded into the Odin, Pyro-adjacent, and Nyx corridors, often operating in lawless or lightly patrolled regions.
It was here that HPS earned its hardened, no-nonsense reputation. Their teams regularly encountered:

Xenothreat-aligned pirate cells

Scrap fleets operating from derelict industrial platforms

Local warlords and criminal barons in unclaimed territories

Despite facing overwhelming odds at times, HPS rarely failed a contract. Their starship division and surface strike teams developed a chemistry that became a defining part of their identity—coordinated interdiction, rapid deployment, and overwhelming short-window engagements.

Modern Era (2951–Present): A Multi-Role Freelance Powerhouse

Today, Hekaton Private Security stands as a respected independent contractor operating across UEE space and the lawless frontier. Though still smaller than the “big-name” PMCs, HPS maintains a reputation for:

High-precision escort work in hostile lanes

Ship-to-ship interdiction and pursuit capability

Ground security detachments for corporate, individual, and high-risk expeditions

Multirole freelance operations—salvage assistance, recon scanning, search-and-recovery, and tactical suppression missions

While publicly committed to UEE law, HPS is known for its “results-first” philosophy and willingness to accept contracts others consider too dangerous or politically complicated.

Manifesto

Declaration of Intent – Hekaton Private Security (HPS)
Intentions

Hekaton Private Security exists to provide fast, decisive, and uncompromising protection across the settled and unsettled regions of known space.
Our core goals:

Protect Life, Assets, and Free Transit
Ensure that lawful commerce, civilian travel, and contracted operations can proceed without interference from pirate factions, rogue militias, or criminal enterprises.

Fill the Gaps Where Law Falters
Operate in regions where UEE, Advocacy, or local security forces cannot respond quickly or consistently, providing rapid reaction capabilities in volatile zones.

Deliver Tactical Superiority on Every Front
Maintain a multi-environment force—space, air, and ground—capable of escort, interdiction, extraction, and close-protection with zero tolerance for mission failure.

Adapt and Overcome Through Precision
Use small-unit agility, advanced pilot cadre expertise, and coordinated mixed-role teams to neutralize threats swiftly and decisively.

Motives
1. Preservation Through Strength

HPS believes that security is not the absence of conflict, but the presence of capable force. Our motivation stems from the conviction that vulnerable citizens, cargo, and enterprises must never be at the mercy of chaos or predation.

2. Independence from Bureaucracy

Born from veterans disillusioned with red tape and delayed responses, HPS is driven by the pursuit of efficiency. We are not bound by the administrative restraints that slow Imperial agencies. Our motive is simple: act when others hesitate.

3. Commitment to Professional Integrity

Regardless of the frontier or risk level, HPS commits to transparent contracts, clear terms, and unwavering professionalism. Honor and accountability matter—especially in the void.

4. Realism Over Idealism

We recognize the realities of the frontier: danger, complexity, shifting alliances, and unclear jurisdiction. Our motivation is not ideology, but practical protection of clients and assets in a universe where morality does not always reflect survival.

Views
On the UEE

HPS respects Imperial governance and operates in alignment with UEE law, but views the Empire as frequently overextended and slow to adapt. We fill the space between need and response, working with the UEE where practical and independently where necessary.

On Outlaw Factions

HPS maintains a zero-tolerance stance toward piracy, violent criminal networks, and extremist groups. Organizations such as Xenothreat, Nine Tails, and rogue militia cells are viewed not as ideological opponents but as destabilizing threats that demand immediate suppression.

On Corporate Clients

HPS recognizes that industry drives humanity forward. Megacorps, cargo haulers, survey companies, and private enterprises rely on security to operate. We provide that edge—without becoming beholden to any single corporate power.

On Frontier Expansion

The frontier is dangerous, but it is also humanity’s future. HPS holds the view that expansion requires disciplined protection, not blind optimism. We see ourselves as a stabilizing force enabling exploration, colonization, and development.

On Force and Violence

HPS does not glorify violence, but accepts it as a necessary tool to prevent greater harm. We employ force clearly, deliberately, and with the objective of concluding conflicts swiftly.
