Hephaestus, or Ἥφαιστος, the ancient greek god of fire and blacksmiths. We, as deadly and powerful as fire, and as unsavory, yet with good will, like blacksmiths once were.
We, who smuggle and hunt in order to keep everything where it belongs. We are the ones who pull the strings.

History

2479// Once established by a high-ranked member of the Yulin Trading Board (YTB), seated on the Yulin Flotilla, Hephaistos main reason for existence was to get (sometimes illegal) goods, which were needed for medicine, scientific research and other similar things, from point A to B, or even Z. After some years the Bounty Hunting business was added to the organization, to make sure opponents of the UEE (at that time UPE) had no chance to make a move against the systems. After the assassination of 26 Hephaistos members, the organization was disbanded in 2587. But a little group of ex-members kept on smuggling and hunting, for about 15 years before writing down everything there had to be known, in order to revive the organization. They wrote on a piece of holo-papyrus which was then hidden in a box on YULIN III, to hopefully be found by someone, and then brought back to life.

2853// Doman Shi Wan, a retired racepilot who was 2 Million UEC in debt , found the box, and took on the task to recreate the organization and give Hephaistos back its true meaning.

2901// After Domans death, the ownership of the organization was passed down to an unknown soldier who deserted from service. He is called ‘Shogun’, like the Japanese Military rulers in the old universe, around 1700AD.

Manifesto

Loyalty, Respect and Understanding is what we strive for. As an smuggling organization is it necessary to be extremely discreet and to always look out for possible danger. At the same time we have to be almost invisible to anyone who is not aware of our existence, which is almost everyone in the universe.

Charter

When you speak, your words must be better than your silence.

-Ben Mervan

This being said, it is also important to be respectful and friendly to the organization and anyone affiliated with it (to anyone else in the ‘Verse too, of course). In the end it is just about having fun and enjoying the escape of reality in Star Citizen.

And please, put your Real Life first!
