History

Helios-Selene Consortium – Corporate History
Founded: 2946
Headquarters: Saisei (Centauri III), Centauri System

“We began by growing food in the stars. Now, we grow the stars themselves.”

2946 — Origins in Orbit
The Helios-Selene Consortium (HSC) was founded in 2946 by visionary ex-biosystems engineer Aethon Helios, who previously worked on hydroponic design contracts for Terra-based megacorps. Initially headquartered aboard a modular orbital platform in the Goss system, HSC began as a small-scale venture specializing in automated agricultural habitats for outposts and station colonies. Its core mission was simple: ensure fresh, sustainable food production in the deep black.

2947–2949 — Growth Amidst Turbulence
With political instability surrounding the Messer legacy fading but lingering in infrastructure gaps, HSC found unexpected opportunities. The aftermath of UEE retrenchment policies in frontier systems left many small colonies dependent on self-sustaining agriculture—a niche HSC filled rapidly. Their StateraGrow line of closed-loop farming units gained popularity for being efficient, modular, and deployable on both space stations and low-atmo planets.

2950 — Selene Division & Surface Integration
After merging with Selene Systems, a small terraforming consultancy operating in the Nemo system, the newly minted Helios-Selene Consortium expanded operations to planetary development. Selene’s proprietary Soil Adaptation Matrixes (SAMs) allowed HSC to push agricultural viability to marginal worlds, leading to contracts with settlement planners and infrastructure brokers.

2952 — Terraforming Contracts & Colonial Expansion
HSC secured its first major UEE-backed subcontract in 2952 to develop agricultural test zones on the edge of the Oberon system. Though initially logistical in scope, the project allowed Helios-Selene to integrate geoforming, climate control arrays, and long-term sustainability protocols into its operations—paving the way for full planetary infrastructure design.

2954 — Corporate Restructuring & Strategic Diversification
Recognizing that its core technologies could serve more than food production, the company expanded into interstellar trade, atmospheric engineering, and habitat development. By late 2954, the Helios-Selene Consortium had reorganized into three strategic divisions:

TerraStructure (terraforming and infrastructure)

SustainaCore (agricultural and environmental systems)

Logistica (trade, transport, and system integration)

2955 — Present Day
Now recognized as a rising player in frontier expansion, HSC operates with both corporate clients and independent planetary settlements. While still a mid-tier org compared to giants like ArcCorp or Shubin, its innovative designs and efficient deployment model have made it an attractive alternative to legacy megacorps.
Its unofficial motto—“We don’t adapt to systems. We create them.”—reflects a shift in the Consortium’s identity: from agricultural support to full-scale civilization engineering.

Manifesto

Helios-Selene Consortium – Manifesto
“Because Tomorrow Isn’t Found. It’s Constructed.”

We do not inherit the stars.
We craft them—with structure, with purpose, with intent.

Founded to bring sustainability to the edge of the void,
the Helios-Selene Consortium transforms barren systems into blueprints for life.
Where others settle, we engineer.
Where others adapt, we define.

From the regulation of atmosphere to the calibration of soil,
from orbital infrastructure to interstellar commerce,
we embed stability into every layer of the unknown.

We are the quiet architects behind colonies that thrive.
We are the unseen systems that make life possible—and profitable.
Our mission is not to observe the future unfold.
It is to build it, piece by piece, world by world.

Every decision is deliberate.
Every project is permanent.
Every planet—a legacy.

We are the Helios-Selene Consortium.
We do not follow in the footsteps of progress.
We lay its foundation.

Charter

Helios-Selene Consortium – Charter
As a member of the Helios-Selene Consortium, you are not merely part of a workforce—you are an extension of its vision. All members are expected to uphold the following tenets in conduct, collaboration, and operation:

1. Purpose Over Presence
Each action taken by a member must serve the Consortium’s mission: to construct, cultivate, and expand the systems of tomorrow.

2. Professionalism Across Systems
All members represent the Consortium in public and private dealings. Integrity, composure, and reliability are mandatory across all engagements.

3. Precision in Practice
From logistics to terraforming, excellence is a standard—not a suggestion. Members are expected to complete tasks with clarity, accuracy, and accountability.

4. Unity in Diversity
We operate across multiple roles, sectors, and systems. Regardless of background or specialty, members work as one entity—coordinated, respectful, and aligned.

5. Non-Disruption Protocol
Sabotage, insubordination, piracy, or reckless conduct that threatens internal order or external reputation will result in immediate disciplinary review.

6. Knowledge Is Infrastructure
Continuous learning, cross-sector awareness, and data integrity are core to our operations. Members are encouraged to improve, adapt, and innovate.

7. Chain of Command, Chain of Trust
Respect for hierarchy and role assignments ensures operational fluidity. Decisions flow upward through communication, and downward through action.

8. Confidentiality & Compliance
All sensitive projects, internal technologies, and trade data are proprietary. Breach of confidentiality or unauthorized disclosure will not be tolerated.

By joining the Helios-Selene Consortium, you agree to build not only systems—but a standard.
Let your work stand as infrastructure, and your name as foundation.
