Manifesto

The Independent Colonial Coalition was formed by those who believed that the UEE had drifted from its founding ideals. In an empire where bureaucracy failed and corporations accumulated unchecked influence, the ICC chose distance. Not isolation, but independence.

The ICC began as a shield. In uncertain times of Vanduul raids, the Molina mold outbreak and UEE pressure, defence was survival. Our early leadership understood a simple truth, that in its infancy, the ICC required military stewardship, and discipline as a core principle. If Nyx and the Coalition were to stand the test of time, neither could appear weak.

From this, our doctrine was born. The ICC could not match the size of its adversaries, but it can outlast and outthink them. Nyx may be smaller than the UEE and the Vanduul swarm, but size is not a measure of commitment or resolve.

The ICC does not seek conflict, but sovereignty is not a bargaining chip. We will not submit to coercion, economic manipulation, or intimidation.

Despite the Independant Colonial Coalition’s origins as a military stratocracy, strength alone is not our identity. As it stabilised and grew, the industry sector and civil governance emerged as equal pillars to the military. Protected by the armed forces, we built infrastructure and a system where authority answers to its people.

Citizenship within the ICC is not ornamental. It is earned through service, contribution, and participation. Service may take many forms: defence, logistics, industry, governance. Each reinforces the whole. Rights are protected, but responsibility is expected. The freedom of Nyx is sustained by those willing to invest in it.

The ICC stands as proof that an independent system can govern itself without authoritarian rule or corporatocratic manipulation. Nyx is free because its people choose to serve it, and because its people are prepared to defend it.

Charter

We, the citizens and signatories of the Independent Colonial Coalition, establish this Charter to secure liberty within Nyx, safeguard our sovereignty, and ensure that governance remains accountable to those it serves.

The ICC was founded upon necessity. In its earliest days, survival demanded discipline, unity, and military leadership capable of navigating an uncertain frontier. That foundation ensured the Coalition would endure. Now strengthened by growth, industry, and civic development, we affirm that our ultimate authority rests not in rank, nor in capital, but in the will of our citizens.

ARTICLE I – Sovereignty

  • The Nyx system shall remain politically independent.
  • The ICC recognises no external authority over its internal governance.
  • Diplomatic engagement is encouraged. Subjugation is not tolerated.

ARTICLE II – Governance

  • The Coalition shall operate under democratic principles.
  • Leadership positions shall be accountable to the citizen body.
  • Civil, industrial, and defence sectors shall exist in balance, each supporting but not dominating the others.
  • The ICC acknowledges its stratocratic origins while affirming that military leadership exists to protect democracy, not replace it.

ARTICLE III – Defence

  • The ICC maintains defensive capability sufficient to deter aggression.
  • The Coalition does not pursue conquest.
  • Should external forces threaten Nyx, the ICC will respond decisively.
  • Our doctrine is asymmetric resilience: no aggressor will find Nyx undefended.

ARTICLE IV – Industry and Stability

  • Industry within Nyx shall serve the prosperity of its citizens.
  • Exploitative or corporatocratic practices are incompatible with Coalition values.
  • Security operations shall ensure lawful trade and freedom of movement within ICC space.

ARTICLE V – Citizenship and Responsibility

  • Citizenship entails participation, contribution, and accountability.
  • Rights are guaranteed. Responsibilities are expected.
  • The Coalition endures only through the active commitment of its people.
