History

Founded in 2956, Independent Deep Dark Mining and Salvage (IDDM) was established by Prospector Prime, a veteran industrial pilot seeking to eliminate the systemic inefficiency of large-scale corporate chaos. After years of operating within disorganized mercenary and freelance groups, Prospector Prime dissolved all prior affiliations to create a sovereign entity built on precision and solo-managed logistics. Today, IDDM maintains that founding spirit by operating as a lean, collaborative co-op of independent pilots, specializing in high-mass extraction and industrial reclamation across the frontier.

Manifesto

Independent Deep Dark Mining and Salvage operates under a firm “No Pirate Mandate” and a Zero-Threat/High-Profit focus. PvP is strictly not allowed, with the only exception being direct self-defense. The organization’s primary goal is to enjoy the game through focused PvE industrial loops like mining, salvage, and hauling. Our objective is sustainable wealth generation through disciplined workflows, ensuring we remain outside the volatility of corporate drama, piracy, or organized conflict.

Charter

Membership: IDDM is an open-membership collaborative co-op for like-minded independent pilots. IDDM members are fully welcome to fly, crew, and own multi-seat vessels as they see fit, reflecting the organization’s focus on independent collaboration over restrictive operational mandates.
Readiness: All fleet assets must maintain high-tier industrial components (Grade A/B) and undergo standardized re-arm and insurance cycles after every deployment.
Engagement & No PvP Mandate: IDDM is a PvE organization, and PvP is strictly prohibited except for direct self-defense. While we acknowledge the game is a core PvE/PvP zone, personnel absolutely will not initiate combat or engage in corporate hostile PvP. All pilots must prioritize an immediate quantum jump to preserve corporate assets. Participating in any non-defensive PvP is a violation of this ironclad mandate.
Financial Integrity: Corporate capital is strictly partitioned, with dedicated reserves maintained in secure, off-ledger accounts to ensure long-term solvency.
Inclusive Operations and Advocacy: The founder, Prospector Prime, is a real-life disability advocate, and the organization welcomes all individuals regardless of disability, marital status, sex, or gender, with the sole focus being the quality of the independent pilot and their commitment to IDDM’s core collaborative values.
IV. Appendix: Prospector Prime’s Personal Doctrine
The “Solo-Seat Protocol”
The operational principles of IDDM were originally inspired by the founder, Prospector Prime’s, personal philosophy of high-precision individual control. This doctrine is rooted in the ‘death of a spaceman’ mechanic, which serves as a personal guide to avoid responsibility for the lives of others in the deep dark. While this is the CEO’s instructed philosophy for personal operation—emphasizing focused PvE industrial loops and asset preservation—it is not a requirement or hard mandate for any member of the Independent Deep Dark Mining and Salvage organization, who are fully encouraged to fly multi-seat vessels as they see fit.
