Welcome To Interstellar Exploration Inc.!

Our goal is to unite explorers, scientists, and pilots
to expand our grasp and knowledge of the universe

History

After the formation of the United Nation of Earth (UNE) in 2380 a group of explorers understood the importance that exploration would have on the course of human history. This group came together and created the Interstellar Exploration Association (IEA). Its goal was to unite explores from all across UNE. It became one of the first organizations of dedicated explorers and scientists to expand our reach of the universe.

In 2439, a year after initial contact with the Banu, the IEA adopted the Interstellar Peace Act. This meant all associates of the IEA must respect Interstellar species, as well as allowing intelligent interstellar species (only the Banu at this point) to join the Association. This new time of discovery was not all good for IEA. Space travel was becoming cheaper and the number of pirates increased. After several incursions with pirates, IEA decided in 2452 to create a fleet security division as well as Incorporate, changing the name to Interstellar Exploration Incorporated (IEI). This divided the organization into three divisions: The Exploration Division, Science Division, and the Security Division. Subsequently the Exploration Association entered a golden age of discovery and charting. Some IEI explores help plot the jump point that lead to Terran System. When the system was first settled IEI saw the potential from the network of jump points, so Terra became the Center of Operation for the Interstellar Exploration Inc.

Exploration within the IEI continued uninterrupted until the discovery of the Xi’An. The open hostility the now United Planets of Earth had toward Xi,An meant that IEI exploration in the east of the known space was almost nonexistent. With the formation of the United Empire of Earth and discovery of the Vanduul came more setbacks. Due to fear of Vanduul raiding parties, not many dared to explore west of UEE Space, and with civil unrest on the rise in the UEE the IEI faced the hardest time in its history. The need for expansion was not longer cherished as it was before and IEI lost many members. Thankfully the Corporation began a slow recovery after new UEE projects, like Synth World, encouraged exploration.

Currently, Interstellar Exploration Inc. continues to unite explorers, scientists, and mercenaries for the goal of expanding our grasp and knowledge of the universe.
