Our History

HYDRA is the oldest organization to still exist.
We have a rich history being active since the late 17th century however we were officially founded in 1965 which laid the foundation of The Intergalactic Hydra Order as we know it today.

17th Century
The Hydra Order was founded of a group of wealthy citizens who saw the opportunity with the upcoming piracy threat on the seas. They operated legally and illegally by funding pirate voyages and giving them intel where the english, spanish and dutch routes were and when they used them. In return the Hydra order took a heavy fee without risking its own men. With that fee they could resell the stolen products or use the stolen gold to fund the growth of their organization. The Hydra Order had early on already international members within governments and big corporations.

19th Century
The focus of the order shifted with heavy anti pirate campaigns but Hydra was quickly to adapt to the shifting business landscape and expanded into the industrial part mainly having shares or ownership of companies involved with the built of weaponry.
With this we infected political systems in our favour.

20th Century
HYDRA’s leaders believed had the belief that humanity could not be trusted with its own freedom. What we did not realize is that if you try to take that freedom, they resist. The war taught us much. Humanity needed to surrender its freedom willingly. After the war, S.H.I.E.L.D. was founded. The new HYDRA grew, a beautiful parasite, inside S.H.I.E.L.D. For 70 years, HYDRA has been secretly feeding crisis, reaping war. And when history did not cooperate, history was changed.

21st Century
After we corrupted SHIELD and were close to completely dismantling them we lost many HYDRA members during this fight. The Hydra Society always aimed to bring back The Hive which was according the Hydra society the reason Hydra was founded originally. A creature that was destined to rule the world. However we finally managed to bring back Alveus (The Hive) from Maveth and able to raise an army Alveus died eventually by being trapped in a ship with explosives on board.

Intergalactic Hydra Order
HYDRA has taken many forms through history and always managed to outlive its opponents time after time. From the big technology breakthrough to the first contact with the Banu till the establishment of the UNE and UEE we have been working in secret. With the corporations using our name being just the tip of the iceberg of all our operations.
Having the latest technology and having a huge corporate and paramilitary interest HYDRA is now invested in many operations which also include diplomatic contact with alien species as we tried before in the 21st Century. This time as equal or superior partner.
HYDRA has developed new ranks and plenty of opportunity to grow within its organization and there is opportunity for the big and the small, the legal and illegal.
