History
Since the dawn of the age of man, there have been those who find themselves in positions of power despite their incompetence or lack of interest. We are those people. We just finally got around to gathering a bunch of us all in one place. It’s going well. I mean, we haven’t actually accomplished anything, but that was never really the goal to begin with. So, that’s a success from a certain point of view!
Manifesto
Failure is always an option. In fact, it’s the default state of things. Operations are not wins or losses based on whether or not we achieve an objective. They are wins if we had fun.
Real life always comes first. Real life demands some measure of success from us at all times. How can a video game be recreational if that same pressure follows you there? Let real life be serious. Come to the verse to try the weird thing and just see what happens. We’re here for it.
Civility is key to a healthy corporate culture. Leave the real life trouble and strife out there in the real world. Religion and politics and all of the other heady things of life don’t exist in the verse. Here, we are free of that. So forget it all for a while, and take some comrades with you to go get blown up somehow. Or get eaten by an elevator or something. Whatever makes you happy.
All roles are welcome. No one is required to participate in a role they don’t enjoy. How can be recreation if you’re being forced to do what you don’t enjoy? Mine until there are no rocks left in the universe. Go live your life with the highest crime stat anyone has ever seen. Do as you wish. Just have fun alongside your orgmates as you do it.
Leadership is not about giving orders. It’s about facilitating the fun of your organization’s members. Leaders are not chosen through their skills. They are appointed by virtue of the faith placed in them by their comrades. Earned power is the most potent and the most sacred.
Charter
If we can lose a hundred million credits worth of ships just for people to laugh on comms as they get shredded to pieces by capital gunfire, then that will be a hundred million credits well spent. We exist to facilitate fun, not success as defined by the hypercompetitive gaming community. We are a home for adults who have too little time with their non-working lives to worry about leaderboards or controlled territory. We don’t care if we die. We care that we die smiling. This is a place for pure shenanigans. This is a place for you.
