A Non-profit, Neutral, Volunteer led rescue organisation aiming to rescue anyone, anywhere.
After almost a decade of service Angus left the service to pursue a career as a private mercenary contractor in Stanton, hoping to help stamp out the growing piracy in the system. He quickly noted that while there were plenty of contractors like himself, there was very little camaraderie between them. When fellow mercenaries got into trouble only a handful would be willing to answer their calls for help
This came to a head during The Siege of Orison.
Many of the fighters called upon by the CDF were raw and inexperienced, most ignored their automated beacons in the belief they’d be attended to by the for-profit combat rescue groups, though their fees were far too high for most. It fell to Angus and a small band of like-minded ex-servicemen to assist their fallen comrades. Using whatever vehicles they could commandeer they were spending less time fighting pirates and more time performing rescue missions, from the mundane to the near suicidal.
With the siege at an end Angus paused his contracting work to find a solution. He ultimately decided to create Interstellar Rescue, an organisation that would answer any call regardless of risk.
initially, Angus wanted to create a patch for mercenaries to wear indicating they’d come to the rescue of fellows in trouble without the expectation of reward. It was meant to be a badge of honour that earned any wearer great respect.
Those who wear the Interstellar Rescue badge will answer the call for anyone, anywhere, at anytime without the expectation of compensation or reward.
