The Obsidian Order Charter
1. Purpose and Mission Statement

Our Purpose:
The Obsidian Order is a private military corporation dedicated to pursuing profitable and strategic operations across the Stanton system and beyond. We operate independently, taking on high-stakes missions that demand precision, skill, and loyalty to the Order.

Mission Statement:
To secure, protect, and profit. The Obsidian Order exists to fulfill high-risk contracts and uphold our reputation as one of the most elite and reliable private military groups in the verse. Whether we’re defending high-value assets, engaging in tactical assaults, or extracting critical resources, our objectives are clear, and our resolve is unbreakable.
2. Code of Conduct

Respect and Brotherhood:
Every member of The Obsidian Order is expected to treat each other with respect and to contribute to a cooperative and constructive environment. While individual strengths are valued, our true power lies in unity.

Professionalism in Operations:
We adhere to the highest standards during all operations. Our conduct in the field reflects on the Order as a whole. Reckless behavior, intentional disruption of missions, or unprofessional actions will not be tolerated.

Loyalty and Confidentiality:
What happens within the Order stays within the Order. Members are trusted to maintain confidentiality about the details of our operations and contracts.
3. Organizational Structure

The Obsidian Order is structured to maintain clear hierarchy and organization, ensuring operational efficiency and clarity.

Fleet Admiral: The highest-ranking officer, responsible for overseeing the Order’s operations, strategy, and growth. Strike Commanders: Veteran leaders who coordinate major missions, assigning squads and planning tactical approaches. Operations Officers: Lead squads during missions, managing on-ground tactics and communications to ensure seamless execution. Specialists: Highly skilled members with expertise in specific fields (e.g., logistics, intelligence, engineering) who support missions in specialized roles. Recruits: New members of the Order who are undergoing training and evaluation to become full-fledged members.

4. Ranks and Advancement

Rank Structure: The Obsidian Order employs a merit-based ranking system, where dedication, skill, and loyalty are rewarded. Ranks are as follows:

Advancement:
Advancement within the Order is based on performance, participation in missions, and demonstrated leadership skills. Strike Commanders and the Fleet Admiral evaluate promotions on a quarterly basis or as deemed necessary.
5. Operations and Engagements

The Obsidian Order takes on a wide range of missions and contracts, prioritizing profit and reputation. Key areas of engagement include:

Tactical Assaults: High-risk engagements, often involving enemy strongholds or high-priority targets. Asset Defense: Protection contracts for high-value individuals, fleets, or cargo. Resource Extraction: Secure extraction of valuable materials or data, including escort services. Recon and Intelligence: Gathering critical intel for future operations or scouting territory for Order expansion.

6. Membership Requirements

Skills and Proficiency:
New recruits must demonstrate competency in combat, piloting, or technical skills relevant to mission support roles. Training is available for those looking to develop specialized abilities.

Activity Expectations:
Members are expected to participate actively in Order missions and maintain communication with leadership. Inactivity without notice for an extended period may lead to reassignment or removal.

Age and Conduct:
The Obsidian Order recruits mature, level-headed individuals who can handle high-pressure situations. Disruptive behavior will result in disciplinary actions or removal from the Order.
7. Disciplinary Measures

Violations of the Code of Conduct or other terms of the charter may result in disciplinary action, including temporary suspension, demotion, or expulsion from the Order. The Fleet Admiral and Strike Commanders review all infractions and determine appropriate actions.
8. Communication and Confidentiality

Internal Communication:
Members are required to use designated channels for all mission-related communication. This ensures clarity and security for all operations.

Confidentiality:
All details regarding missions, contracts, and internal affairs are confidential. Sharing Order information with outside parties is grounds for dismissal.
9. Amendments to the Charter

The charter may be reviewed and amended by the Fleet Admiral and Strike Commanders to adapt to new operational needs, growth, or changes in the organization’s mission. Members will be notified of any changes and are expected to adhere to updated terms.
