History

Established in the Year 2890, By (Insert Name here) a decorated fighter pilot. ISTO originally started out under a different name as contractors for the UEE Navy, acting as minutemen in the outer colonies to help protect civilians against Vandul raiding parties. Although this was a very righteous act it wasent particually profitable and in around 2926 the organisation was struggling to make ends meet. The decision was made that the organising would split and diversify in order to survive. The Organisation split into two separate operations;
  • The freelance operation that would keep the UEE Navy contact and continue to protect the outer colonies amoungst other freelance jobs.
  • The other operation was tasked with finding a source of profit to fund the freelance operation.

(Insert Name here) found that many of these outer colonies were struggling to survive as few were willing to run the dangerous trade routes connecting them. The colonists were in need of rugged traders who were not only willing to run these routes but who had the combat ability to survive every run and ensure every single piece of cargo arrived intact and on time. This was the official conception of the “Interstellar Trading Organisation” or ISTO for short.

By 2946 ISTO had really made a name for itself in the outer colonies and was turning in huge profits. Allowing for the operation to expand into the inner systems and even into the Sol system itself

Manifesto

Both our main operations are run out of Aremis in the Vega system, we are wanting to diversify our operation and start work in areas such as exploration and mining – to supplement our main operations. Just be aware ideally we would also like to run these other operations out of the same system.

Trade and Logistics

A major source of income for the Interstellar Trading, as well as its Citizens, is trade. While the organization initially started out as traders in the outer colonys, we are now ramping up operations in the inner colonies and subsequently in need of many new talented pilots and support officers willing to operate in this section of space. Watching and managing the markets to ensure the best possible price, as well as organizing and flying the trade missions are all responsibilities of members of the Interstellar Trading Organization.

Freelancing

Despite this operation still being mainly in the outer colonies with the ever looming presence of pirates in all quadrants of the galaxy we plan to expand this division too. As a member of our freelancing operation you are free to take any job so long as it adheres to our manifesto. If you are unsure if you should take a job or not feel free to contact other members of the organisation to ask for clarification.
